fabing up skinnies

I know that there are some people who have widened their wheels, but has anyone actually had width taken out of them? I am looking to go to skinnies up front and would like to keep the GTA wheels. Would it be worth cutting and re-welding the wheels?

Re: fabing up skinnies

no just put some 225s on there now, but it really won't remove any weight out of the total combo.

Re: fabing up skinnies

I am currently running 255s. I'm looking to get more then an inch off of the total width of the tire, and I would also like to lower the drag coefficient of the front wheels.

Re: fabing up skinnies

This is exactly the information I was looking for.

Thanks for the link JERRYWHO, its nice to see that I am not the only one who has thought of this. Its too bad I do not own a TIG welder otherwise I would weld them up myself. What size tire are you running?

Rob, thanks for the link I am going to give them a call tomorrow.
