If any one has a pic from an '85 TPI car I'd appreciate it as well as the Vehicle Emission Control Information label as my car doesn't have them. I tried to get them at my local Pontiac dealer but they said they couldn't get them anymore.
My wife has a 84' Pontiac 6000 (amazing good shape body and all), but I had to replace valve cover gaskets and you talk about a NIGHTMARE. I had to track down a vacuum leak on it once and sometimes I felt like ripping the CCC out and putting a holley on, but eventually managed. Graphics like above definitely help out. Great Job 57!
right now i have a vaccume leak or two. and i have removed a few vaccume using components and realy need a diagram like this for a 2.8L MPFI car. if anyone can help i would appreciate it.
Also, for anyone who is looking for vacuum diagrams for your 3rd gen, just go to link below. It's got all the vacuum diagrams for the different engines over the years. Here it is: http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...3d80163807.jsp
Do any of the diagrams tell you what size vacuum tubing needs to be used? Looking at mine it doesn't look like a standard size or would it really not matter?
I need to know (preferably a picture) in detail where the "TO HVAC" goes exactly. I'm thinking this might be why I can only get air to come out of the defroster vents no matter what I have it set on.
We desperatly need a good diagram of emmisions routing for a 1990 V8 TBI 5.0
I am new on this site and sure it's here somewhere, just cannot find it, if someone knows where to find it, please help! Thanx!
Friends I'm in need of a diagram of hose that go from the air tubes to the polition pump. I have a 1987 Camaro Iroc tnat has the 2 belt set up and I made it the one belt set up and I forgot how the hoses from the air tube go. So I need some help. Thanks.
Guys I just bought a 91 Camaro Z28 Convertible, it had a 305 TBI. I did away with it and I installed a TPI system from a 1989 IROZ with a Mass Air Flow Sensor . I kept the original 1991 vent canister wich has a different diagam. My question is, should I set the vacuum lines up as the TPI 90-92 or should i find the vent canister for a 86-89 TPI?????
ive got an 86 305, berlinetta. the vacuum diagram has lettering on the carburetor. how do i identify which of these letters represent the vacuum on my carb, i know of at least one that is above the other. the diagram just shows a left to right and such.
I am repair my 1982 z28 that has a crossfire injection system. I can not find the EGV vacuum control solenoid anywhere. Does some body know where i can get one of these? Deal is telling me that they no longer make them and will be very hard to find.
__________________ CLEARING HOUSE!! EVERYTHINGS FOR SALE- my car-selling as whole 1993 z28 lt1 ALUMINUM HEADS, brand new 305 HO and all the other parts i have. ask i prolly got it!
I recently bought my son a 1983 berlinetta with the 2.8. It ran like crap, so I started with the fuel filter, cap and rotor, plugs etc..... you know the typical stuff, and it didn't get any better. It's carberated and if I hold my hand over the carb it runs better..... any suggestions???
hi im trying to figure out the vacuum diagram for a 91 z28 5.7 camaro im not sure if one of the 2 that are on here are it or nit. im trying to work on a friends car. when cold it dont wanna idel for crap but once warmd up my friend says it idles fine. i found a few vacum lines brok and missing. was looking for some help. if possible thnx. jason
Not sure where to post this MODERATORS.. but i figured since it look me like 2-3 days to find these diagrams it should be made a sticky.. as it seams like its important yet extreamly useful info to alot of people..
Here are 2 zip files that have EVERY vacuum diagram i could find for third gens..
if there are anymore please post as i cant find anymore..

lopezisgod, where did you get these diagrams at? I ask because there is one diagram which is label "85-86 5.0L TPI", well it is completely wrong, false to the max. My 86 TPI vapor canistor is on the driverside, not the passenger side. On the passengerside is the battery.
Thanks for the diagrams, but do you have access to a picture of the EGR solenoid? I have never had to replace this thing and I most likely need to. 271, 000 miles, no replace. Have replaced the EGR valve every 4 years. Anyway, anything you can do will be appreciated. I am the original owner of an 89 Formula with 5.7 tpi. I work on myself when I can.
I figured out what the problem was. I guess for some reason there is NO vacuum suction from the hose under my throttle body. I used a different vacuum source and hooked up my EGR solenoid from the 95 Caddy 4.9L engine and now there is NO SES light!!!
I wanted to ask you a different Q though....
Have you ever noticed your volt gauge drop below the 13 when you have the AC on and are sitting at a traffic light?
I replaced the belt with a brand new Dayco and have all the stock items installed.
Any issue with the battery going to be Dis-chaged when the needle goes below 13 at idle? It doesnt do it when I am cruising down the road.

I appreciate any help or advice.
Ohh Dang!!! I would use explicit words but the thread must stay PG-13. I completely forgot to help you out man. My apologies. Good for you on locating the problem. As for the voltage gauge, yes. I dont have a/c but I do have a 800 watt bass sound system. I have a 3 month old reman alternator. Either at a dead stop or while driving, my voltage drops down to about 8 volts (according to the volt gauge). But when I have the system off, my gauge reads 12-13 volts. Your below 13 volts issue will and should not be an issue. The only time this will affect is during a extremely cold winter because the "cold cranking amps" drops. But dont worry too much. If it bothers you that much, park it, turn on a/c to full blast. Once the voltage drops below 13 on the gauge, test the batteries voltage with a voltmeter. Note the voltage reading on the multi/voltmeter. Then go back inside and note the voltage on the gauge. The difference that you will see is pretty much common with our aging cars. This is because of the wiring. As time goes by, the current has a tougher time traveling down the wire do to contamination and corrosion. the down fall is the drop in voltage because the current has less and less area to travel on/in. So the there you have it. If the Camaro ever dies on you because the voltage drops too much, then you should be concerned. The best battery and highly recommended for our 3rd gens is the Optima Battery. Its expensive but it is the most reliable IMO.

Just FYI, the EGR solenoid valves I have seen must be connected correctly. The vacuum connector centered on the solenoid body must be connected to the vacuum source and the other line must go to the EGR valve. This is because when the solenoid is not energized, the EGR side is vented to air through a small orifice and filter so that the valve will close quickly. If you get these lines wrong, you will have a vacuum leak when not energized, and the EGR valve will stay open long after it is supposed to close!
