1989 Trans am GTA LS conversion $32,000 OBRO

DRIVETRAIN: Gen III 408 c.i. iron block stroker by Thompson Motorsports w/all ARP and forged rotating assembly upgrade package to support 1000+ H.P. 317 heads w/ Total Engine Airflow’s stage II CNC port package. Trunnion upgrade and Valve springs to take .660 lift. Howards 226/232 cam. Factory LS2 intake w/edelbrock DBC 90MM TB.
East Coast Supercharging’s LS2 Novi 1500 black SC kit converted to 8 rib w/ East coast’s secondary drive kit installed, all based on Vette C5/6 accessory drive. Treadstone Corvette style FMIC and Alky Control’s methanol injection kit tailored to 3rd gen F body. SC currently makes 15 psi on 3.48 pulley w/ 10% OD Innovators West balancer.
Dual, in-tank Walbro FPs w/ second triggered by 2psi Hobbs switch. All the typical FP regulator and appropriate AN lines to support the H.P.
Built 4L80e with the typical good parts built by Janis Transmission in Akron, OH. Circle D 3400 stall, triple disc convertor all out to a Strange Engineering 3rd gen specific 12 bolt with the typical H.P. parts, axles 3.55 ratio posi carrier etc.
PA Racing 4L80 crossmember and adjustable torque arm. UMI K member, control arms and sub frame connectors. 8- point S&W roll cage w/ swingout bars, both doors. Color matched to the Camel interior. QA1 double adjustable front struts and retaining the OEM coil spring set up. Drag shocks in the rear with adjustable pan hard bar and Spohn Drag, rear sway bar.
LS1 front big Brake conversion with LT1 rear disc brake conversion too. E-brake functions as it should.
Much, much more to this drivetrain than I can remember. But I have most of the receipts to document.
INTERIOR: Stock appearing 1989 Pontiac WS6 trans am interior with Katzkin leather upholstery, new carpets, new headliner (T-tops), NOS steering wheel w/ functioning steering wheel radio controls to a refurbished UX-1 Delco AM/FM cassette. Dash pad is nice and un-cracked, console is nice, E brake handle is nice. Factory shifter modified w/ an old school B&M detent upgrade to make use of a manual transbrake if needed ( my trans doesn’t have a T brake). Rear , upper seats come with the car should you want to make it a 4 seater again by removing the rear bars. Even have the recovered, OEM T-top slip in shades. AGM Battery relocated to trunk compartment w/ mandatory shut off , located behind a quick removal license plate. Custom Auto meter gauge set up with angled bezels for better viewing from Driver seat, all back lit in Red. Trans temp gauge in pillar pod not hooked up just yet. Tinted windows too.
EXTERIOR: Original Black color with probably at least 1 full repaint at some point. I have had some paint work done to fix some minor hail damage that happened while parked at the dyno shop for a few days waiting my turn. The hood, T-top area and rear decklid all were fixed and resprayed. Spoiler is a Hawk’s fiberglass replacement too. Weatherstrip is in “okay” condition all around. T-tops function as they should and store in their bag inside. I replaced the WS6 wheels with Hawk’s 17” IROC wheels because I liked the look, and I wanted the option to put even bigger front disc brakes on it. I believe I have an extra set of the original wheels should you want them. Over all the paint is fair, great from 20 feet but has it’s share of nicks and blemishes. I drive this car on the street and I race it allot too, so it’s no garage queen, but can park alongside any car at a car show with no shame. A true low 10 sec ,pump gas car. I'm car #36 on the time slip Car has been dyno tuned at Hutter Performance in Ohio every couple years. 670+at the rear tire. This car is not for the faint of heart, but is still streetable. I do not need help selling this car and phish DMs will be deleted. No "is this still available?" messages please. Payment in person only. Will consider partial or full trade for nice 79-81 Z-28 or Trans am.
