I just bought a 96 rs with the y87 package. It has an rpo code (R7R)-advertised special vehicle. I even called the chevy help line and their doing an investigation to see if they can turn somethin up for me. Does anyone here have a 4th gen or know of someone who does that has the R7R code....everyone ive talked to so far cant seem to tell me anything about it. But if i find anything out from chevy ill post back on.

I almost guarantee how you can find out what that RPO code is.

Call your local Chevy or GM dealer and talk to the PARTS department. They can tell you what the RPO code stands for.

I had one on my 4th gen that I could not find anywhere, and ended up just asking the parts guy when I was in there one day and it took him like 5 sec to tell me what it was!

well see i go to pick up the car tommorow from houston and i actually whent to the chevy dealership here in town to get the rpo code list. I asked them and they couldnt tell me nothing so i emailed chevy and they emailed me back with a 1800 # to call. I called it and they had to do research and they called back saying that it was some kind of dealer item and i should contact my local chevy sales department. So i guess thats gonna be step three.
