1983 camaro z28 E
did any of u here of a Z28-E. i have an 1983 version.i dont know what the "E" stands for. im not sure if it is a rare car. it came with 4 wheel disc brakes, fiberglass hood, a split speedo( one half is mph, and the other is khm. also the 8th digit on the vin read 7, and that means it would have crossfire injection,(thank god it doesnt) but it has a l69 engine 305 h.o. can any one help....

All of the 83 Z28s had that stupid dual-pointer speedo with the English and metric halves. I got rid of that lame POS as soon as I could find somebody with a 86-up car that was willing to part with something that made sense. I think the cluster in my car right now came out of a 87, so it has a normal-looking speedo that goes to 140 mph, and has the metric numbers around the inside.
7 = the L69; that's what mine has too. 7 in the VIN, L69.
Yeah it's kind of "rare", in a relative way (relative to things that are more common); there were 3,000 some-odd 83 L69 Z28s made; not sure how important that is though....
