Ultima seat recovering
I am in the process of selling my car, and have received comments that if I had the seats recovered, it would sell quicker. I looked at Hawks, and they have seat upholstery kits for the Ultima seats. Has anyone recovered their own Ultima seats? How difficult was it with all the plastic parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Ultima seat recovering
I think the only plastic parts that you really have to worry about is the Side Bolsters as IIRC they are sewn to the Leather or Cloth Upholstery... A good shop should be able to do it, for reasonable...
I still think if you di this you might end up on the short end of the stick, you would probably get more for it BUT I doubt you would exceed what you have into it...

Re: Ultima seat recovering
I am just considering it. I believe I would spent more, than I would get back out of it, but had to check. Through Hawks the seat re-upholstery kit is only $349, and I didn't know if it was something that could be done by an individual with no re-upholstery experience, or if I would have to take it to a shop.
I also think it might be better to let the next buyer do the work, as then they could chose the exact shade/color that they wanted.

So, am I the "next buyer"? I need to get some money out of the bank today if you are going to accept my offer (in the other thread). I can come get the car on Monday.
