At a high price for a 305 car I think. It must have been hard to buy a car like this one and not drive it, but it looks like he has many more to drive.
I would like to know what the reserve is $30,000??

Re: New 1989 IROC
Cars like that one are great to look at, but at the same time somewhat depressing cause you would never drive it and kill its value. But it is a great example of what these cars were when they were new, and inspireing for the person that is planning on restoring theirs back completely stock.

Re: New 1989 IROC
An interesting car no doubt. I wonder why somebody preserved a low mileage 305/A4 with 215/65/R15 tires?
Is the cruise control supposed to be there? The "bulb" on my GTA is nudged in next to the windshield washer fluid.
I wonder why the A/C accumulator has a red and blue stripe on it? And why the dot on the oil dipstick?
What are those two rubber boots next to the wheel lock?
I had forgotten about the fuse that came in the package. I've had that sitting in my tool box for so long, I'd forgotten what it was from.
I wonder if it came with any other pamphlets with the instruction manual? Mine came with a 1989 cell phone brochure (very large phones), the diamond undercoating pamphlet, the GM warranty brochure as well as the GM warranty card (long since expired, but I kept it anyways)
The only trouble I see with these ultra low mileage vehicles is that all the fluids and oils have lost their anti-corrosion protection.

But yeah, sure nice alright. . . Since it seems most here wouldn't even drive it, they might as well seal it up in a bubble at the Smithsonian Institution.

Re: New 1989 IROC
so what its a 305... its a iroc-z in the end and thats all that matters. if your going to buy that car i think its more for originality and cruising to shows. not beating on it and building it for 1/4mile so 305 is original theres no problem there

Re: New 1989 IROC
Oh my God, that car is beautiful. If I had $30k I'd pay that in a heart beat to get that car. Wish my 89 RS was in that good a shape, but for 20+ years use as a DD, its not to bad off. Just going to restore/mod my car in a few years, really wish I had the time, patience, and will to fully restore it to that condition though.
