25th or not?

I bought my camaro from my sister a few months ago. Before i bought it from her, i didnt really know the history of camaros that well. she told me that it was a 25th anniversary edition. well, i looked up what i could about the 25th editions. i dont think mine is a 25th edition now. i have the 25th ann. badge on the passenger side but the headlight pockets are not blacked out and i dont have the gold stripes on the car. those make it the 25th edition. how can i find out if i do have a 25th edition? i'm not to worried about if being a 25th, but i need to quit telling ppl that it is just incase its not. lol. thanks.

**also, the front grill is not body color. its black and its dry rotted as hell and is breaking off. **

Re: 25th or not?

well if you have a 92 model year car you can call it a 25th anniversary edition. If you have within that white label with all the letters and digits lumped together something that says Z03, you have a "heritage edition" 25th anniversary

Re: 25th or not?

I would say, as long as yours is a 92 than its a 25th car either way, with or without the heritage package

I had a 92 and it was a 25th anniversary. Inside the car on the dash will show a badge with 25th anniversary below it.

Re: 25th or not?

All 1992 Camaros had the words "25th Anniversary" on their dashboard badge. There is nothing "special edition" about this.

RPO Z03 is the Heritage Appearance Package, which was offered in 1992 on both the RS and Z28 and is what most people think of as a "special edition." Its main features were twin dorsal stripes and a body-color grille, black headlamp pockets (except on the Z28 where this was standard), and a decklid badge.

Your RPO codes will appear on a sticker that was (in 1992) on the inside of the storage compartment door in the left rear luggage area.

Re: 25th or not?

I don't know why, but I have also seen Z03 camaros that did not have black headlight pockets, and with rims that weren't accented any color.
but either way, the Z03 is the true Heritage option.
I'll post pics of mine soon.
