Engine code
So i got my code vin thing, i decoded all but the last three digits which would tell me what type of motor it is the last three digits is clh, one website says its a 350 off a 70's cprvette, but im skeptical as it has a tpi system and centerbolt valve covers, another website says its a 305 off a 91 firebird or trans am, how can i figure out which it really is?

Re: Engine code
The place to start is the casting number on the block. It'll be behind the drivers side head on top of the bell housing flange. Then there's the vehicle specific stamping in front of the passengers side head on the top surface of the block. Finally, remove a valve cover and there will be a casting number that identifies the heads.
If the stamp in front of the passengers side head has a VIN number that matches the cars, it's the original block.
