Engine: L03 TBI
Transmission: WC T-5
Axle/Gears: 7.625 10 bolt stock 3.08's
1988 Camaro with color codes 66 and wa9538 medium orange
Ok I have a factory medium orange metalic car, everything I've found online says the color codes should be 63 and WA 9188. Well the sticker in the console(original too vin matches) has 66 and WA 9538 which from what I've found online is the same medium orange metalic but it's a color code for a 88 Beretta. Just curious if anyone knows why GM did this.

I also have a factory 88 Medium Orange Metallic Camaro and my RPO sticker also lists the paint code as WA 9538. That is the correct listing for 1988. I think some of the information out there is incorrectly listing the code they actually used in 88. I also ran into another guy with an 88 Medium Orange Metallic car and he had the same RPO paint code as mine. So that is three confirmed codes in the cars themselves listing the code as WA 9538.
