Power brake booster finish and/or color
Hi all. I hope this is the right forum for this question. If not please move, Thanks!
I am upgrading my 83 TA to PBR front and rear disc brakes. I bought all new metric brake lines, the correct proportioning valve, a new metric thread master cylinder and since my power brake booster is rusty looking, I bought a new one as well.
The power brake booster came finished in a flat gray that is either paint or primer, not sure.
Does anyone know the proper finish and/or color for the power brake booster for an 83 TA with crossfire injection? I have seen flat black, gloss black, silver, gray, gold/cadmium, etc.
I would like to finish it off correctly before I install.
Thanks guys!
Todd

gold cadmium was the original finish on the earlier thirds-later,sometime around 1987 i think a black finish started to be used.

You could try to replicate it with the Eastwood cadmium paint kit.
I am going to ship mine off to this guy.
http://www.brakeboosters.com/index.htm
For 150 bucks, he rebuilds it and replates it correctly.
