Strange yellow slip of paper.

The other day i was out cleaning the inside of my car (1985 firebird) when i looked up and saw a piece of something yellow sticking out of the hole where the firebird flash light normally is. I grabbed it and it was a small rectangular piece of paper with a row of numbers and the date: March 21st 1985 printed on it, i was wondering if anybody could tell me what it is. Could it be the exact date my car rolled off the line? It would be cool if thats what it is.
Help of any kind would be great.

Seeing it came out of the flashlight holder in the overhead console, it was probably the date the OHC was made...

That would be my guess. A vendor tag, no a GM assembly plant tag.
