That's the vacuum reservoir that was used before the Sphere of Destiny came about. 85 is about the latest I can remember seeing one on a thirdgen. 86 had the Power Ball.

this is a twin to my first iroc in high school .. i know there werent many made .. makes you wonder if this is my old car , lol .. i should of kept it but i had to have the tuned port car ..
Car listed as original. Speedo is not original. What else is seller wrong about???

With him claiming the odometer reading to be accurate - on a Speedo that was never even made until a year later - NOTHING he says can be counted on as truth or fact. He's either gullible enough to blindly believe what he wants to be true ( Previous owner told him it had low miles ) ,... or lying and playing dumb ( because he installed the lower mileage Speedo ). The car appears to be in great shape,... but the one thing that's easily proven to be bad/mis-information happens to do with the cars mileage & that directly affects the value of the car. ------> PASS. There are plenty of other cars owned by sellers that will not blindly accept fantasy for reality - & not lie to you - about the cars history just to squeeze a few more $$$ from your wallet.
** With any luck he'll have SOME KIND of documentation showing the speedo was swapped. Picture(s) showing the original cluster/mileage and the replacement cluster mileage reading when swapped would be about the only thing I'd accept.... but that's just me.

Found the article i was thinking of. The sentence read "an honest 140mph would show on the single point speedometer if the numbers didn't meakly come to a halt at 85". So yea, agree speedo was swapped at some point
