Good deal on a Purple Haze RS project!

Spotted this 92' RS for sale today but full disclosure, it isn't my car, so I know nothing other than what the ad states. It looks like a solid enough car though and a Purple Haze, ttop, 5 speed, V8 RS is a pretty sweet spec despite not being a zedder. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/...-rs/1478174707

Also keep in mind that this car is here in Ontario, so it's $1500USD with approx. 138xxxmiles. Hopefully someone can make a good project out of this one

Seller states that it's solid underneath but after posting the bigger pictures, that driver wheel well and gas cap area are convincing me otherwise

While the price is cheap, my 30+ years of working on these cars tell me that 90%+ of the time, "project" and "deal" are never good nor accurate when used together describing a car.

Now with that being said, if it was local, I would check it out and worst case, it would have the parts to do a 5 speed swap in another car.

After noticing the amount of rust on that quarter, I'd bet my life that there's enough serious rust underneath to deem this thing a parts car. But who knows, and even still, I guess she could still make a good donor buy for around that money

And 11K???? That car looks excellent, and I didn't even see it! After being in the LS GTA that another forum member brought by, I'm more than down to clown with one of my own

Did you see this one? Unassuming ad, and it didn't have any pictures first, but it's a players car! Not much left in regards to originality, but if the price is right it could be a decent scoop https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars...aro/1479350273
