Pinstripes are usually done at a dealer, or by a body shop. Pretty sure they're not factory.

Not factory. Worse yet is when you remove them only to discover that some nitwit sprayed a clear coat over them during a repaint, or they've been on the car so long that the paint underneath has faded differently so you get ghost stripes... Pin stripes are the GD Devil.

Re: Camaro Pinstriping
There are a number of posts with photos of these cars waiting for shipping at the assembly plants.
AFAIK none of them had any of that. It wasn't factory.
It's usually dealer applied, or some PO had it put there. Not original in any case. While VERY popular in the 80s, it's not so much of a "thing" anymore. Probably best not to do it. Especially not to make it follow the curved places on a car body like that yellow car. Butt hay, it's your car, if you want it, go for it. I'm sure any kind of Trimline type shop can do something similar.

Re: Camaro Pinstriping
As has been stated, that stripe is NOT from the factory. I removed the pinstripe on my '85 immediately after purchasing.

Re: Camaro Pinstriping
I too had wondered if these were factory or dealer installed. Was fairly certain it was a dealer or other item. I removed one from my Firehawk and was hoping it wasn’t an original factory item. It just doesn’t look right on a bright red car imo.
How have you guys removed yours? And polish after? I used an “eraser(not sure what the name is)” in a cordless drill on mine. Worked great but left some marks in the clear coat that look like hell. I need to get them cleaned up

Plastic razor blade. And some Goof-Off, WD-40, the 3M "paint prep" stuff, … then some polish / buff / wax type stuff
