85 Transam color production numbers
Just got an 85 ta it is dark gray metallic.but found out original paint is gold how many gold card were there made.i think it is chestnut?

That color is probably on the lower side of production numbers in comparison to other colors. However, that does not necessarily mean more value as the car's condition and performance options are usually more important in value. That all said, that color is one that I thought looked well on the Trans Am and helped give the early ThirdGens more character.

According to the all 1982-1992 Pontiac firebird colors codes &quantities book . There were probably less than 1700. They based that on Camaro numbers

The best I could do is estimate that there were about 1647 Chestnut (Gold) 1985 Firebirds... It is a rough guess based on limited information Canadian Sales.

I thought I had an odd color for my 85 Bird It was called Russet with a two tone russet and grey interior, Any body know an approximate production number? Just curious. I sold it in 1992 when I bought my 91 TA that I still have and drive.

The only known figures are Canadian figures and the counterpart (Camaro). However, I don't think that's useful given the Canadian market is so small and the Camaro was different.
