What's the other side of that lid and air cleaner base look like, where the duct is? It looks like there's a wide-open hole through the side of the air cleaner base, in the view you've posted. How about a view of the side that I'm asking about? I'm wondering if that lid could be used on a different base.
Because if the base units are all the same size, and that lid can be used on a different base, then something else that might help you unlock even MORE POWER (great clickbait caption on that video, and a sense of humor lol) with your functional cowl induction unit and lid, is an L69 dual snorkel base under that lid. The L69 base has a 15" diameter where the lid sits on it.
I know you're a very "factory-stock" guy, so I don't know if something like that would be too radical of a change for you or not, but I think it would be an interesting combination.

There is an inner lid which seals with air cleaner element. And yes, I could put that lid on my L69 dual snorkel system.
Yes, that is the factory pipe. All pre-bent systems for our cars are sold out or back ordered, so I had one fabricated.

Mines an 84, and not sure if your linkage is different. But I would remove the screw securing the solenoid lever to the flapper shaft, remove the entire solenoid, and linkage and save. Reinstall the screw with some wire under it, and anchor the wire "somewhere", to hold the valve open. Should be simple enough.

Once the scoop becomes functional what about the hood insulation??? Does it stay or go or get trimmed. I've been searching and haven't come across any pic of the insulator on an original factory car.
I'll have a few days to think about it, since it's going to the body shop tomorrow morning to have rusted battery tray cut out and new replacement welded in.

Not a fan of hood insulation on a performance car. It can get pretty messy. but if already in place, and is serviceable, i would leave it...for now.

Thought there was a picture of the stuff installed on that thread i posted on fb from here.
If you hold the air induction parts up in place under the hood you'll see exactly how to hook it all up. There's a little hole in the blanket for the front leg to poke through and sit on the top side of the hood brace. Then its just the 7mm screw holding that in.

If you have a button on the dash with a slider, you would have the subwoofer. The reason I ask is you have the fancy speaker grilles. I am not sure if it was part of the subwoofer package or if it is part of the Custom interior.

I'm starting to think that I did remove the covers on my '88 T/A (B20) because of the same reason as you where the cloth was peeling. In fact I just looked at my past pictures over 20 years ago and confirmed it did have them. So B20 does appear to be the factor.

Classic Industries also sells an "OER" aero Spoiler, but it looks awful, I would never use one of theirs because the spears are way way too thick. Hawks spears are also a little thicker than stock, but it just has the better appearance for aftermarket. Hawks is worth the wait IMHO.

I think you're right that it's part of the B20, even though B20 is defined in the 1987 product manual and speaker covers are not mentioned. That is not conclusive, though.
I'm starting to think that I did remove the covers on my '88 T/A (B20) because of the same reason as you where the cloth was peeling. In fact I just looked at my past pictures over 20 years ago and confirmed it did have them. So B20 does appear to be the factor.

On my lists of all the RPO codes I do not see anything to distinguish between a Dealer Lot car and a Special Order. It might be WS8 (Price order Acknowledgement) but That is a guess.

In order to bump initial timing. Should be set a 0 from the factory. Mine was set at -2*. Bumped it a few degrees.

Choke doesn't work.
Put new choke on and doesn't work.
"Choke" dash warning light on when choke is plugged in.
"Choke" dash warning light turns off when choke is unplugged.
Power coming from connector.
Any ideas?

If I understand the circuit correctly, if that fuse is not working and going to the Choke Heater Relay, the Choke Warning light will find a ground through the choke heater and do what you're describing.
