N-10 option

Hello all,
In 1989 and 1990 if you had the N-10 duel cat option did it also come with G-92? Or was that a separate?

Thanks for any insight,

I think it's the other way around. If you ordered G92, you got N10.

I thought so too, but looking at a GTA that's for sale here the SPID shows N-10 but I don't see G-92.

Pontiac didn't really use the G92 code like Chevrolet did. There are some instances where it was used, such as part of the 1LE package, but the GTAs generally already got the performance options standard so you don't see that code. In fact, it's not even listed in the production figures by Pontiac.

Here's a case where Pontiac references the G92 code:

Pontiac was setup differently and lumped a lot of the performance stuff together and made it standard with with certain drivetrain combos.

But is odd because it does appear on the SPID on the Firehawk. Yet it's not on the production sheets that Pontiac was using to track order sales. I suppose they didn't need to do so due to the other options being tracked that were part of the performance options. Just inconsistent.

Yup, it was all lumped under g92 or later r6p, or 1le or b4u.
Probably why they may never figure out how to do reproduction spid labels.
