factory cat

Have headers, will buy exhaust, but have a question about the factory cat. on my 83Z with 305 HO. This is the 4 bolt, high perf. cat., right? Is it worth buying a new one? It's old, I know, but no problems so far. Is there much difference between the aftermarket high flow jobs and the 4 bolt factory cat? Suggestions/opinions welcome. Thanks.

If they cat is over 10 years I would say replace, I also heard in a post on here that stock cats take anywhere from 10-15 horse and after mark is 5-10. But if you have heards the main problem is your pipe size is not as big as it could be you probably have 2.5" running into muffler, upgrade to 3" and you will benefit more from your headers.
