Does anyone know which other GM steering wheels can be used?

I want to get a leather wrapped steering wheel, but I've only found one aftermarket steering wheel I like (Momo "Driver") but it's really expensive ($430). I was thinking about maybe using a later model GM steering wheel, maybe one from a C6 Corvette or I also saw a Cobalt steering wheel I liked. The only problem with that would be finding an airbag. The other problem would be whether or not it'll fit. I've heard somewhere that any GM wheel should fit, but in the case of the Cobalt, which has electric power steering, it doesn't have the "standard" steering column that GM uses.

I know the older Lumina Z34 wheel is a direct fit. I think Cavaliers used the same ones.

I think he is wanting a replacement that has an airbag. Our 91's have the huge ugly airbag pouch that buckle and curl around the edges making it VERY un-pretty...
I to would like to know if another GM airbag wheel would fit AND have a functional airbag when finished..

I doubt the newer airbags will be able to work with the ancient SIR system in our cars. I just meant that if I want to get a wheel out of a new Chevy, I'd have to find an airbag to go in it because most people selling the wheel don't include an airbag.

The steering wheel from a 88-98 chevy/gmc truck is a direct fit. Some of the later models have airbags, hope this helps

Yeah the same steering column (wheel mount) was used in all the '80's S-10 & S-15's as well. Some of them don't look too bad.
