interior heat

the hot weather is here now. the a/c in my car works fairly well. however when its a really hot day the sun beats through the tops and makes the interior very hot. the a/c will eventually cool it down but its takes forever. im think of either buying t-top shades sold through classic industries for 50 bucks or buying darker window tint for 20 bucks. what do you guys do?

Re: interior heat

Last week I picked up one of those aluminum foil looking accordian shades for the front windshield , it has really made a big difference , so I was thinking I could go buy another one and cut it and stitch it to fit the t-top openings . Oh and yesterday I hit a big bump and my rear view mirror fell off , I swear I do something nice for my car and thats how it repays me .

Re: interior heat

GM helped by putting in a half azz AC system. With everything working perfectly the max air flow is way low to compensate for Texas heat, the sun and the volume of the interior...yeah the one with the green house window in the back.

Re: interior heat

If I don't put the sun guard in the front window that big black dash soaks up so much heat my a/c doesn't stand a chance , on a really hot day I'll open the hatch for a minute just to let the first blast of heat out .
