Leather Shift Knob Problem.

Hey guys I just bought a leather shift knob off ebay and replaced my old one. But for some reason it wont stay on. there is no clip hole in the knob itself, and it will pull right off. Does anyone know how to help me?

Thanks.

No it will just pull straight off. It doesnt screw on there is no threads in the knob itself or the shift rod either.
