Re: just got some 4th gen seats

hook your ground to a ground, and hook your positive to an "always hot" fuse. your done. easy as that.

even though you don't have a power seat now, your car may very well have the harness for it tucked under the carpet. Take a look for it before you run a new line. The connector is different from 3rd gen to 4th gen... fortunately my 4th gen seat came with both sides of the connector and I soldered it in in place of the 3rd gen connector.

Re: just got some 4th gen seats

Do yourself a favor and wire in a circuit breaker with your positive wire. They look like a fuse, but they are solid and silver. I think Im using a 20A...

But basically, if for some reason you try holding the switch in one spot too long, or something falls next to the seat jambing a switch active, it will blow the circuit breaker. Then..unlike a fuse...after awhile it will reset and your seat willw ork again. Without it there is a risk of messing up your seats power circuits or even melting a wire.

Its a VERY easy hook up.....
