No hot air!
I replaced the heater core this summer and put the whole dash back together and have no heat. I first checked the heater core lines and they are warm, then I checked the temp selector cable and it is moving side to side on the air box, also when I select heat on the hvac control no air comes out. When on hot, hot air should come out of the vents at all times, I assume. I get no hot air at all! I also deleted the diverter valve on the heater core lines under the hood so water goes through the heater core all the time. I really dont want to tear the dash back apart! HELP!

Re: No hot air!
re-install heater diverter valve . it's there for a purpose , also ck. all vacuum lines . "ALL" vacuum lines , htr. controls are operated by vacuum . good luck .

Yeah I know it's there to keep hot water out of the heater core on max a/c, but why don't I have hot air in the cabin is the main issue. I can select where I want the air to come out on the vent control, I just can't get hot air.

No heater diverter, no problem if you're looking for heat (and your heater hoses are both hot). There's something wrong with your blend door. You say the cable is moving, but is the door actually changing positions?

Re: No hot air!
I figured it out. I said I would start with the most simple thing..........not enough water in cooling system equals no heat. I feel like a complete doofass. At least I'm a warm doofass!
