I like my interior mostly stock, but just installed my custom gauge rings from Luis (motobooks) and I love how they look on my '86!

Re: I want to see your custom gauges and other interior mods!
Id like to go digital, wether it be intellitronix or anything. Im looking for an aluminum instrument housing that fights intellitronix digi gauges, all i can find is this
http://www.camarocentral.com/mobile/...ctCode=DAS-393
Which is nice but it has 5" holes for speedo and tach and intellitronix are only 3" :/ .. On the other hand Autometer. Elite gauges are also catching my eye, i just need a cool freaking gauge cluster housing......
any help advice and suggestions are welcome.

it did have 4th gen seats, but i'm using a kirkey on the driver's side now, which is actually sitting even lower than the 4th gen seats. the kirkey is basically on the floor. i have no problems seeing what i'm doing:

No, unfortunately i cant take credit for that, i designed the theme and chose colors and leather but had a local upholstery shop do the front and back seats. The only thing i did were the panels, head liner and carpet

Re: I want to see your custom gauges and other interior mods!
I changed the backlight to blue, added a 140mph speedo and changed the needles from orange to white
First I converted the back of the gauges from orange to gloss white
Then I taped off and did the same with the front bezel. I also repainted the front part black.
Then I painted all the needles white
I used these bulbs for the blue back light 194 wedge bulbs with 5 LEDs
My first time lighting it up I found too many cold spots.
There were some empty spaces in the cluster so I scraped the mask from the traces and added more bulbs. here is the final result
I am really pleased

Re: I want to see your custom gauges and other interior mods!
From Firebirds & Trans Am yes unless it is the Deluxe Interior like in the GTAs with their different arm rests. Those can be swapped in if you add the extra bracket that changes the arm rest mounting screw positions from the bottom to the sides.

John Covan's Thunder Road gauge panel with Autometer American Muscle series gauges. Steering wheel is a 14" split spoke from Billet Specialties.

Re: I want to see your custom gauges and other interior mods!
A while back i bought some single leds. Blacklight ones and pure white ones. I popped off my headliner and burnt through it through the backsid . Inserted each led in a random pattern.. wired each individual color together.. then to a switch.. and vwala. Dome lights and party lights in one lol

Here are a few from my build. Used the 3M Carbon Fiber vinyl, and plexiglass, cut to size and there you have it, nothing too extravagant! Other gauges are on the pillar.

Can't wait to make mine soon ! Also make my aluminum shift plate for my th350 , aluminum door piece that holds the unlock/lock buttons ( deleting the buttons and making a solid piece with cut outs for the handle and locking lever ) & cluster bezel with toggle switch inserts ! And adding removable steering wheel with red stitching ! Hope to be done in the next few weeks

Some really nice Mods on here.
Mines just a small one but one you don't see often. Some 6.5" door speakers that sound really good with the Kenwood deck and Pioneer 6x9s on the Sail Panels.
