Seats came back

I got my seats back, the girl did an great job with her sewing, she went right off the sketch; I know a lot of people will not like them. I like them and thats what counts, I am going for the resto-rod look. I plan to fiberglass an old console and paint the sides blue (color of my stripes) and do the top in brushed aluminum. This is how I plan to tie in the seats to the cars look.

Those look pretty cool. You came up with that design yourself?

Panels match the seats, the sketch shows them

Yes we came up with the design, a few rough sketches

This.

But looks like really good work. Would definately like to see the whole interior after it's done.

Sweet! Can't wait to see it all come together. I really like the design and colors you chose.

Yes, trust me I was a little skeptical when we were picking out the material, The pictures don't do it justice. When we go to the auctions and look at rest-rods and custom cars this interior will be tame by comparison. I am thinking the custom console (a little further down the road) and the brushed aluminum accents will tie it all together. If it doesent I will change the headrest and inside sections to black.

Re: Seats came back

they could look cool, (depending on the rest of the interior) but I think the bowties look a little lumpy, making them look less than professionally done. I would have ordered a stitching to get the same effect.

They are stitched into the material and embosed so that they stand out

Re: Seats came back

from the pictures, they don't look razor straight, kind of lumpy and pillow like Maybe it's just the angle of the pic

Re: Seats came back

Hmmm.

I think they would look pretty sharp in a 82' Pace Car replica.

Re: Seats came back

Something like this looks really over the top right here by itself, but I think in the context of an interior to match, it would look really nice and fit well if you do it right. The sketches look decent but it's all about execution.

Re: Seats came back

This is the original sketch done on a piece of scrap paper, Once I get the entire outside done, all the suspension, rearend and the motor, dam I have a lot to do, than I will put the interior together.
