Re: New Grant wheel
if the horn is intermittent then its something along the way to the horns as I had the same issue and it ended up being corrosion on the terminal the wire connects to the actuall horns was alittle rusty.
Nice wheel tho and I get one simular as well

Re: New Grant wheel
Beautiful job, man.
I have the one with the chrome center button instead of black. I love it. I see you have the same mismatched clutch pedal pad that I have, hahahhaha.
As for the horn, that stupid plastic swash plate ring in the column was giving me an intermittent problem from before. I had to sandpaper the copper contacts on it, the spring loaded button, and the underside prongs but its good to go now. Hope that helps.

Re: New Grant wheel
So many questions so little time.........
Red Rock...... I fit in the back seat just fine, thank you, the problem is when I get in there I can't get out so, I opened the hatch and took the pic from the back.
James C........ I used the single wire in the install kit and connected it to the original socket on the steering column. The wire connects to the center connector on the horn button. The other connector does not get used (unless you have a Ford).
Arvizu9618......... The wheel is listed inYear One for $205. It is the genuine stitched leather cover. It was listed on CL for $100, I got it for $90. It was mounted for a short time in a project car and he desided to go a different direction. The posting was a week old when I saw it.

Re: New Grant wheel
I was really hoping nobody would notice that. The correct one is available so it will get replaced someday. I can't see it when I'm driving so not a big priority.

Re: New Grant wheel
I'm a little confused about this reply .It was asked earlier about the price of the wheel in the photos you posted. Is this reply you posted about the wheel in the photos ?

Re: New Grant wheel
I found it on grants site and you have gotten a great deal, nice catch.
Looks great and probably feels even better(.Leather)
Mines the much less expensive one in the Challenger series.(rubber)I had to rap it in artificial leather(I beleave its called "pleather")Definitely not the same feel as leather but better than the rubber.

Re: New Grant wheel
I need to wrap mine too. The rubber on these Grant GT wheels is a lot better than others I have had, though.

Re: New Grant wheel
I did have a problem when I first hooked up the wire included in the Grant installation kit. When I first tried grounding the wire to the wheel to check for contact, there was nothing. I thought it might be too large for the tube that it fits in so I filed it down a little and that seemed to do the trick.
