Rear view mirror light switch
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement light switch for the lighted rear view mirror? The switch on my '91 GTA stopped working correctly. It keeps the light on regardless of if the switch is in the On or Off position. The switch itself can be separated from the small lens/switch assembly that come out of the mirror. If I need to replace that assembly, so be it, but I'd prefer to just replace the switch if possible. If anyone knows the p/n, that could be helpful in my search. Here's the switch I'm talking about.

Can't say I see the mirrors in junkyard cars these days.
I see the mirrors on ebay, but not the switch, alone. As a last resort, you could get one and swap a switch to your mirror.
I'd image somebody who is savvy in electronics might be able to repair yours. TGO member Braven Tech, for example, manufacturers window switches for 3rdgens.

Yeah, mine only has three posts. Weird that GM would have two different switches that look the same. I grabbed a switch off a junkyard car today in Sun Valley, but it didn't work when I got home and tested it.

Re: Rear view mirror light switch
By any chance the mirror you took that switch from, did you take the whole mirror. If so did you manage to take the set screw for the mount.I'm replacing the mount on the windshield in my 92 Camaro, and the set screw was apparently removed by a previous owner. So the "Mirror" has just been hanging there the whole time I've owned the car. If you have an extra I'd like to buy it from you. Thanks In Advance...I'm just over the hill in West Hills.

I just took the switch and the lens assembly out of my car. The mirror is still in my car. There is a '91 Firebird at the Pick-N-Pull in Sun Valley that still had the mirror last weekend when I was there.
