LQ4 Th350 Do I still need Spacer?

Well Im getting ready to pick my Lq4 soon and Im kinda starting to want to keep the Th350. So I have been looking around and I foundthe whole spacer thing but then I checked TCI. They have a flewplate for th350 to ls based motors. I'll put up the link with the table and the link for just the ls th350.

Table is halfway down the page.
http://tciauto.com/Products/GM/gm_tu...amatic_350.asp

Heres the actual flywheel.

Re: LQ4 Th350 Do I still need Spacer?

you will need the spacer unless you have a converter designed to fit the th350, with the long hub for the ls1 crank.
the short hub on a std sbc converter isnt long enough to mate up with the crank on the lsx motor.
if you got the lq4 from a 2500-3500 it should already have the spacer on there.
you can use the stock flywheel from a 2500-3500 series trucks for a th350 as well.

Will I be able to change to a T56 later down the road if I want or will the spacer cause huge headahces because I had orginakly planned to use a 4l60e. THat was thrown out because of the power I'll be layin down.

The early Lq4's have a thicker flange than the lq9/ls1's. You won't need a spacer if you have that year. You will have to elongate the bolt holes on your fly wheel to bolt to the tq converter. As far as a t56... you'll have problems there cause the thicker flange.
