LT1 383 Conversion

Just dropped off my LT1 at the machine shop yesterday for a 383 conversion. It will have roughly 440 ft/lbs of torque and 460hp. I have the 4L60E transmission that came with the motor when I bought it.... is the 4L60E a transmission worthy of handling such torque numbers ? A few people recommended the 200-R4 ?

Re: LT1 383 Conversion

It will hold it better than the 700R4 will. It probably wouldn't hurt to have it beefed up to help with it.
