Another addition to my fleet!
Hey there TGO LSx/LTx family!
Havent been on much lately, due to school & a trip down to south carolina to pick up my new car
Dont worry, iroc-z plans are still set in stone, just have been 250 miles from it for the last 8 months and havent got much chance to work on it! Its going to see some serious progress this summer. My '97 trans am is pending sale tho, so i suppost the fleet is just trading out :P
Goin through a few changes in my life, which oddly warranted picking up a C5 Corvette project. Been watching corvette forum for about 6 months now, and finally came across the deal ive been waiting for, and didnt hesitate.
Anyways, the car is a '99 Corvette Fixed roof coupe. Picked it up from Charleston, SC march 6th so the starting work begins soon, real plans for the car have about a year to wait until funds roll in.
Car is in awesome shape in regards to what i paid for it, higher milage on it, but never been wrecked, transmission shifts like butter, runs perfect, interior is in great shape, paint is solid, factory Z51 car, 0 rust on the steel framing etc.
Work that ill do during the march break week:
-ACT Heavy Duty Organic Clutch install (Claims 775ftlb holding strength)
-New clutch hydraulics
-New rear main seal
-LS6 intake
-Magnaflow Exhaust system
-Vararam CAI
-Lowered on stock bolts
-New Tires
-Shitload'a cleanin & updating.
Anyways, heres a few pics of it. Decided to drive down an trailer it back in fear there could be a problem with the car on the way back, instead, the towing rig decided to cook the transmission 10km's from home. Not please, so the avalanche will be getting a new transmission after i finish the vette.
Ill post some pictures up off the 1st stage of modding, and the oh so not fun process of tearing the whole friggen torque tube, trans &diff out just to change the damn clutch.

Re: Another addition to my fleet!
Corvettes use a single leaf style spring, that is transversly mounted between the front suspension, which has bolts that hold it to the lower a-arms. by backing off the bolts, or buying longer bolts, you effectively lower the car
Oh yea! Bad economy is certainly a good time for pickin up cars for sweet deals

Ah, got it.
Be sure to emphasize the LSx part so we can defend its relevance to this site.
