quick question. des the b body lt1 share the same short block as f body lt1
Is the b body and fbody lt1 short blocks the same? I know the heads are different but I'm not sure of the short block. I can get a 95 Buick lt1 for really cheap. Need help ASAP. I can't find info any where? Also, if I put the alum heads will it pretty much have the same specs as the fbody motor in terms of.compression ratio? Thanks guys

All B bodies were cast iron headed due to HD use or weight of the vehicle. only F bodies and vettes had Alu heads (thus higher comp ratio). The short block is the same other than cam as stated above. If you were close I'd sell you the one I have CHEAP! Also there were some revisions on the dist. between 94-96 (Vented VS Non-vented)

The B- Body can also have a smaller cubic inch version that looks identical to the 5.7 , so make sure what you're getting.
