AFR LS3 Enforcer head

Information about the new AFR LS3 Enforcer as-cast head.
Helps to speed up the video playback 125% or more to compensate for Vizard's somewhat slow speech.

Interesting. Any chance they'll be 50 state legal?

Hah No, I did watch it in it's entirety after I posted. And I set the playback speed to 1.25 as suggested.

I have the blue book he wrote on cylinder head porting, and the video pretty much covers the same stuff he mentions in the book.

The price on the enforcer offshore heads is actually pretty good.

Re: AFR LS3 Enforcer head

Your knowledge is far beyond mine.
Some of those charts he was showing was brand new to me. Quite interesting to a newbie!

Yeah, makes me wonder what a set of ported heads will do!

I posted a set of videos by Darin Morgan a couple years ago. That was DEEPLY interesting!!! Thread had no life though, not much interest by people here.

Vizard was one of only a few people responsible for my initial Engine Design practices many years ago.

Great stuff!

Here's Weingartner's look at them.

I've followed Vizard for a couple of decades (or more). I think I have a half dozen of his books.
In that time, there was a lot of engine theory absorbed. Some of it controversial. For a guy that should garner some respect he sure takes a ***** kicking on other forums.

Put them all in a room together and it's likely only 1 person has ever been hired to consult in professional motorsports.

I think Vizard is widely known as a magazine journalist (or whatever you want to call it), when in reality his primary profession is research engineer and consultant. The magazine gigs were just supplemental income.

Speed-Talk has some pretty savvy individuals. Many of whom are motorsports professionals in their own right.
That said, it's more DV's older tech that gets slammed. Go to ST and mention the "128 Rule". Yikes! I've been lambasted for repeating some of his teachings there. To the point now that I avoid the confrontation.
But I'd love to relate the cam spec one of his software programs churned out and how it compares to the one a premier cam designer made for me. But I wouldn't be that guy as I've got too much respect for the two of them.
DV has guided me to some overachieving engines though and his books are very relatable. I just need the rest of the car to catch up.

Stock LS3 heads. Stock with a better valve job. A couple of Promaxx versions.

And somewhere, he takes the stock 823 casting and shows the improvements resulting from porting (but I can't find it at the moment).

As for Darin Morgan, his tech is excellent.

EDIT: Found one example:
LS3 Pocket Porting Results.
