I say straight black with the Z spoiler, if you want stripes I'll go with charcoal gray stripes, or jus red hash marks on the fender like the GS corvettes.

Re: What should i do color wise??
Ight if i do any stripes its gonna be black and red casue my interior is red and silver (already thought about that) would look gay with a red interior. So im thinking the red stripes and the GS stripe think that would look nasty?

I kept my RS black with the red stipes, just changed the ones on the hood so they don't look so 70's. I used the correct color of red to match the stock stickers, but I also added a fiberglass hood as you can see.

If your car has the high rise , then keep it. It makes it a true Z28 & not a clone. I had the same delima, Im glad I kept it. I wanted a duck spoiler so I bought a 92' RS, now I have both

Yea i've got a similar situation. I do think your car would look awesome black with red stripes and the spoiler. Also i have seen some third gens with red detailing in the stock wheels. Mine is ultra blue and i'm thinkin I might want stripes and a cowl hood. So hard to decide

Hey MaxInfidelis. Just wondering who you bought the hood from. Is that a Hawks hood? or from some place else?

Re: What should i do color wise??
Alright. I'm gonna have to get a cowl hood. Now the question is, how big?

Re: What should i do color wise??
Thanks Travis, glad you like the look. With a hood you can always restore the original look, it’s not like it’s a permanent mod. So I would say get a hood for your car and see how you like it.
Glad I could help 91z28!
Jonathan I got the hood off of ebay and it was an auction by Hawks. The hood is very well made for the most part, but it does have some wavy spots, mainly on the left edge (driver’s side). I did not do much body work at all on it, all I did was fill the bubbles all over the surface with spot putty and primer. A good block sanding and some filler would have been a good idea.

One more question. Does the 4 inch get in the way when you are driving? Can you still see plenty out of the winshield?

Re: What should i do color wise??
The Ram Air hood is at least 4" high and it does not interfere with visibility at all.
