Thanks for the compliments guys! I had another car as an everyday driver, but a snowstorm took that out.....
This is everyday car for now and to be honest, I wasn't sure I'd enjoy driving it all the time, but this thing is great! So much fun and gets alot of looks too!

My friends mom had that same car growing up as a kid, I loved that car.Nice choice.
Thanks for the comments Tony, I appreciate it. I bought some weatherstripping from 1A Auto for my last project. Great customer service and great parts too.

Thanks again guys! The car is nice, but the pictures make the car look better than it really is.......after a good detailing and touch up though, it will be pretty close.
Thanks for the link to the Third Gen Fest as it looks like a great event, but I won't make that this year.......maybe next.
Our trip this year is the Hot Rod Power Tour in just a few weeks!

man id love to pick up a clean car like that. it dont even look like it has 50K on the odometer lol. any pics of the engine and interior?
Thanks again!
As for finding a similar car, you just have to be patient and keep an open mind. I saw this car on Craigslist in November and I'll bet it sat there for a month before I called the owner. It had louvers, a trailer hitch and headlight covers on it, none of which I really liked. When I checked it out, it was a solid car with good history and an honest owner. All worked out pretty well overall.
Here's a picture of the engine compartment. As I said, it still needs a good detailing as it was/is a driver. No good pics of the interior yet as it has a tear in the drivers seat. I do have a replacement so as soon as I have time, I'll swap it and take some pictures.

Not problem at all glad you were happy with the service.
I've been debating on whether to keep the '88 GTA Notchback I'm working on right now or trading it for a 5.7L IROC. If I trade it, I want one JUST like that. Nice car!
Thanks again all! Here's a couple more taken at our local dealer today while they were offering test drives in the new 2010 Camaro. The car next to mine is an original 1969 Z/28 with no cowl hood, no rear spoiler and a cross ram!

Thanks very much! In addition to being the daily driver we did the 2010 Power Tour with it.....3500 miles in 5 days.....car has 137K on it now.
Went to the dragstrip too......little slow though.......14.83@92 MPH. Seemed to take forever during the 2-3 shift. This was with HOT weather and no prep. With better weather, fuel and a little tuning I'll bet it would be low 14's just like my last one was 20 years ago.
Here's a pic next to the YearOne T/A in the hotel parking lot.

Very beautiful car man, i miss my 88 5.7. Mine was black with the t-tops, 16K original miles, it was in mint shape. Theres just something about the 88 IROCs that draw my attention
Great looking car, inside and out. the white ones are Always nice. they pretty much always look clean, for the most part. yours is nicer than most I've seen. great job in keeping it up and looking so cool man.
My first Camaro was an 87 Z28, red, T-Tops, grey ground effects. That car didn't drive fast, it flew low. LOL ( man do I miss that car ). these days I own a grey 92 RS, 3.1L V6, but I'm afraid that it doesn't look as nice as your. oh the body is straight, only minor nicks and a scratch or two, but it's just a parts car as I don't have a title for it and I can't get one for it ( Bummer ), so what I have is pretty much a parts car while I search for another Camaro body with a good title and then I can do a transplant with the RS. ah, one day, but Yours is Emmaculent. best wishes with it. *S*

PS mine will be a daily driver too once I've found it.

Thanks! I had a black 88 from 1990 to 1995 that I bought with 21,460 miles on it. My friend bought it in 1995 after I got my Firehawk which at the time was a fair deal. He still has it, although with 3 kids it just sits in the garage with toys piled on it. Least its out of the weather!

Thanks again! I'm just glad I found such a fitting car for a reasonable price. While it looks good, you aren't afraid to put the miles on it and push it once in awhile. Keep your eyes open, they are still out there!

wow that thing is clean I gotta ask though what is up with the exhaust tips in the first couple pics? are they painted yellow on the inside or just rusty?

As for the tips, they are actually yellow, which probably matched the car years ago as it had the grey/yellow stripe combo new. The yellow had been off before me or the previous owner purchased it, which dates back to 1998.
It has a unique exhaust system as those tips are the mufflers. Years ago, someone removed the factory muffler, Tee'd the exhaust and put the tips on. I have a brand new Flowmaster setup sitting at home, but the system sounds so good I hate to cut it off and replace it.
Maybe once the pipes give way I will...

Nice ride! Not too many white IROCs in my neck of the woods, so it is a treat to see one.
Thanks guys!

Funny, but I actually agree with you......car just seems too plain for some reason. The white is a little washed out looking, but too nice to repaint since its still original. Thinking about lowering it an inch and putting some nice wheels on it when the money is right.

Went to Atco a couple weeks ago just to spectate. The weather was good and a friend had an extra helmet so I decided to make a few passes. I lowered the shift points to 4800 RPM and made a best pass of 14.48@94MPH. Was pretty happy with that considering it had no prep, plenty of fuel and 140k.
