thats sad i have a pet rat which is a bitc* but still cute though. just keep the car clean and dont let it sit. maybe a air freshener will keep them away??? lol. well dispose of the bodily properly and dont be a a-hole with the poor guy.

I live in a complex so I dont have the freedom to work on her as I would like, is going to take time...

wen i store my car for winter, i use just regular mouse traps in interior and engine bay. Just make sure u take them out while driving and if car is sitting, check them regularly.

Don't leave mothballs in your car. My buddy did that with his Monte Carlo when he parked it in a shed on the farm. We pulled it back out this summer after 6 years. No mice inside but it's been 7 months and the interior still reeks of mothballs. They didn't keep mice from nesting on top of the aircleaner and the heater box either.

I usually put about 4 glue traps around cars when they're in storage. I've caught mice with them and haven't had any in the cars. Poisons aren't a great idea since the mice can eat the poison and then crawl in your car to die.

Hey I understand if you have your own issues and feel strongly about rats and such but c'mon no one here is talking about the things you are describeing. I just wanted to share my surprise with people who gives a f-ck about this type of car's, cause when I told some of my friends all they did was laugh and said " what can you expect? they like to live in garbage!" they think it was pretty stupit of me to bu this car to begin with, anyway back to topic please no more ASPCA opinions here.

I'm am animal lover myself I have 4 bull terriers but come on it's a effin rat and it ruined ur car with a horrible smell..I'm sorry but if a Rat did that in my gta first thing in doin is burning that **** or feedin it to some neighborhood cats i'm not gonna waste my time burying a rat when I can be cleaning the crap it left behind..just my opinion tho..if u feel that strongly about rats u should visit New York citys Rat n Mice sanctuary!

lol... I had a few mice nest on top of my engine. Unfortunately it was a supra and they chewed up my
spark plug wires and some of my harness. I put a few
pieces of rat bait and never saw them again. The problem
now is hoping there aren't any snakes.

Give him a break. I looked at some of his other posts and he is 13(supposedly). But there is a difference between a rat and a dog. Rats arent as loved as dogs and never will be because they only screw things up. I really can't stand when someone defends something stupid like a rat.

In the summer there were muddy raccoon paw prints on the doors of the Camaro in the garage!!

The fact that that rat was laying dead where it was would tell me that it was either sick or poisioned. I have found several mice in cars that I have owned over the years but they usually found their way in and couldn't find their way back out and starved. To be just laying under the hood seems strange. Reminds me of a frozen cat we put on a fellow workers air cleaner once but that's a different story. I did have a live mouse climb up and out of the defroster duct once when driving down the highway....that scared the crap out of me and my wife. As for our 13 year old "friend" maybe you should spend less time on-line and more time with your english home-work (spelling, grammer and punctuation) if you want to be taken seriously.

Ok, the rat is an animal and all animals have feelings and have their own purpose, they deserved to be treated with respect on their own level. BUT that level of respect varies on every animal. Look, I really don't think that oscarrs had any intentions of torturing, mutilating or any other wrong doing to the rat. I honestly don't see anything wrong with disposing of an already dead wild rat in the garbage, chances are it's going to a land fill to be bureid anyway.

irocstangs - just chill dude, i believe your 13. Hell, when I was 13 I had a 74 Nova SS, and plenty of pets (birds, dog, bearded dragon). But when you confront someone you disagree with don't start off calling names and using profanity. It just makes you look stupid. Now, if you come accross someone abusing an animal I pray you beat the hell out of them. A few weeks ago my friends and I came accross two punks throwing rocks at an injured red tail hawk (which is a federal crime btw). Lets just say they won't be abusing any more animals (the hawk is still recovering but should be ok).

Dryer sheets work really good... make sure you stuff them in the hvac vents though!

And the pic didn't phase me one bit, last weekend went into my crawlspace to repair frozen pipes and found a long dead and waterlogged cat.... now that's actually sad to see. Poor little guy must have crawled into a hole before I filled them all last fall. I liked having him around the field too, because cats are keeping those pesky mice out of my cars.

Same goes with cars though, animals will seek shelter wherever they can. A nice tight cover with a blue tarp wrapped around bottom is good for outside, you can even tie it up on the driver's side so you can get in and out to start it periodically.
