Re: 2 Camaros in the family
While I am still not where I want to be with the Z28.
These forums have been a vary handy tool for me to find out information on these cars and to help locate parts
Here is a picture of the 350 in the Z28.
The engine is a fresh rebuilt 350. low end torque cam.Headers hi flow cat and a Flow Master muffler.
Plans are to also get the a/c working again.
We just picked up a replacement interior for this car.Along with a decent set of black door panels.......

Re: 2 Camaros in the family
It has been a while since I have up dated any thing on this thread.
I finally got the Z retagged and running.Still not totally happy with it though.
Also working on converting the interior over to all black.
Looks like I will be needing a new grill.
I really like the look of the ones with the driving light mounts in them.
Is there an after market source for those?

Re: 2 Camaros in the family
Here is a couple pictures of the 86 Z.
It sucks that is does not run as decent as it looks......yet
This car was originally a four barrel equipped car.I guess GM had to unload those Q junks some where.....
I am also looking for a set of center caps for the IROC wheels.

Re: 2 Camaros in the family
when there running q jets are pretty nice carbs, mine had a fresh rebuild/cleaning and i've never had an issue with it, aside from this cold shitty weather, makes it not want to idle but then again i have some vacuum leaks somewhere so that could do it

Do you plan on keeping them both stock?
and I believe that hawk sells sets of center caps, but they are not cheap...

hawks
and http://www.moderndaymuscle.com/camaro
You can find lots of thirdgen parts at both of those sites.
Modern day muscle is the cheaper one...

Re: 2 Camaros in the family
Thanks for the links guys
we are keeping the 92 pretty much stock.
I will be touching up the paint in a few needed places
I might do some custom stuff to the Z if I ever get it to run decent.
Been a long time GM owner and fan.Over the years I have only owned two decent Q Jets .
The Edelbrock carb on this Camaro has out performed both of them.
I kinda wish this was a factory tuned port car.
This old girl has thrown another problem at me.A nasty power draw that will Kill a good hot battery over night.
It is lucky the wife really likes this car.
