The wait is over!
Hey Friends! Glad to be on board and hoping to learn from you on the 3rd Gen Camero! I had two Iroc clones (305 tpi and one a 5-speed 305) as a teenager in which one I designed a custom paint job on it, installed the knight rider scanner light...it was an awesome car! I always wanted a true IROC-Z with a 350 TPI but was too broke to get it back then. lol
21 years later I set out a national wide search to find my favorite car ever! After months of looking and offers I found "THE" one I was looking for! 1988 IROC-Z 350 TPI
It already has new paint so I don't need to do much to have it exactly the way my old car was back in the day! The interior has the normal wear and tear but in great shape for being 25 years old so not much needed to restor the inside. The back seats are not faded and look like they have never been set in. Door panels look new and I'm planning to replace gauges and elec switches etc due to the marking being worn off to get it that fresh clean look when I'm done.
First up in getting new exhaust and a tune up so I can keep record of maintainence from here on. Then it's off to the paint booth for the custom additions and then to get a complete underbody protection from the windows down.
Back in the garage over the winter I plan to remove the interior and rust proof it on the inside as well as I restore the interior on re-assembly.
There is a good story attached to aquiring this car that I will share later when I post the pics of it. It's worth the read!
Looking forward to catching up on old post and seeing what you folks have tried and done to your classics! Love seeing the pics!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving 3rd Gen Fans!

Re: The wait is over!
Welcome to the site. Please know that your favorite car ever is a Camaro, with an "A", not an "e". May people will go nuts on this board over that typo. Enjoy the car and post some pics.
