Beautiful work. Such a cool sleeper.
Is the interior all finished out yet?
ps, I'm kind of bummed you're done because I was enjoying buying unused parts from you. LOL!

As you are well aware (I’ve read your entire post), extra parts are part of building cars like ours. I still have a few, but most of the good stuff is gone.
I want to get the car dynoed and tuned in the spring, hoping to get 500+ rwhp.

Whoa! Awesome build! I think I'd go with some stock appearing wheels (I know the massive brakes play a factor) and go for the ultimate sleeper look! That thing is killer!

Re: 1 of 1 Z28
I’m not a big fan of the 20’s either, but I needed something to put on the car in order to drive it, and I got these cheap. I’m planning on 18x12’s on the rear and 18x10’s on the front. As far as a “sleeper”, the exhaust is way too loud for that, and the body needs too much work to not require a full paint job, so I’m going to do a lot of body modifications. I have to admit, this thing is a lot of fun to drive, even with only about 40 miles on it.

Took the car out for a cruise after installing a new cooling system and decided to take a few pictures. The car performed great, even when I got caught in traffic at the boat ramp. It idled for 10 min. In 87 deg. heat. Huge win.

Modified #3 header tube
Clearance for the steering shaft for R&P steering
Cutting up a perfectly good header to make clearance for the steer shaft to the rack and pinion steering. Dimpling a 1/4” did not clear, so drastic measures were in order.

[QUOTE=....did you make the spoiler? ....I've been thinking about something similar.[/QUOTE]
No, I got it from Hawks. It is almost exactly like the one Marrow designed, except it is an aluminum and composite composition. Wait until you see what I’m doing with the rear panel.

Concept drawing
Sectioned the rear bumper to the car profile
Reinforced the center section of the bumper
Male foam buck
Flush with the taillights
Supports for the female mold
Female fiberglass mold
Finished rear bumper
A diffuser will be made for the lower half around the exhaust
This is what I envisioned years ago for the rear tail panel. I’ve always disliked the rear bumper on these cars, it sticks out too far and looks like it was slapped on at the last minute in the design phase.

I dig the process more than the outcome, it still looks pretty ephghing good. Gas cap is neat also. I want to see it complete and painted.

As do I! It’s coming along, but I still have more modifications in store. I’m hoping to have it in paint by spring or summer. The car also needs a full interior makeover.

very cool choice on door handles. I almost pulled the trigger while in Salt Lake. just too pricy plus the Hoffman design came available.

The suspension thread for this car can be found in the "Fabrication" forum. Search for "Corvette Suspension continued". I would link it here, but I am not familiar with how to do that.. Thanks for the interest in my car, I am proud of what I have done in my small home garage .

I fabricated an IROC extractor hood for this build. This is the last of the custom metal fabrication on the car. The next stage is paint, but not before 100’s of hours of preparation and blocking.

No such luck, I’m not that guy. I’m sure someone, somewhere has towed a 35’ Cabin Cruiser with fly bridge behind their Camaro. I made the mistake of driving downtown past the public boat launch at sundown on a Sunday.

Besides towing a U-Haul across the country on my 86 IROC (RIP), I also used it to tow a utility trailer to the various drag and drive events. Slicks, pit lane tools, coolers, etc...There's no way to compete otherwise!
