FNG here...

I'm new to the forum and wanted to say thanks!!! I've posted a few things and have gotten great responses. Its nice to join a group where you don't get dogged hard for asking a question. People get so rude about searching and stuff when if they don't like answering the same questions a bunch then all they have to do is not answer, that is so dumb to me to dog someone like that.

Anyway, I have not seen any of that here and its very refreshing to say the least! I am on and have been a part of many forums hence I know the drill of that - BUT this is quickly becoming my fav forum because all are knowledgeable and friendly.I'm Big into 4 Jeeps and have many and currently have my Jeep Scrambler rock crawler (see my forum name). I've wanted a 3rd gen for well more that 25 years now and I finally bought one.

So thank you all that have answered questions for me and have been very welcoming, hats off to you folks for being that way and not the jerk type that revels in telling people to search... VERY refreshing!

I've been a member a Long time. People on this forum are the best! I use the same username on all other forums. I'm a Jeep guy too, but still consider TGO my "Home-forum". Where do you live? I'm in wittmann, AZ, right next to a few million acres of government land that is perfect for my lifted and locked TJ.

Yeah you are close to me, I'm in Silver City NM. Jeep forums are the worst when it comes to people showing tude for people asking about stuff and them Not Searching to their satisfaction, That being said most are very good people also. Any way here are some pictures of my two little Jeeps and my Iroc. Yes Doc K the Jeeps pics are for you

Re: FNG here...

With the Iroc its going to my car Doc (mechanic) Sunday for power windows, new door rubbers, remove the PITA alarm that has no working fobs, window felts, AC leak test and that Horrible Louver has got to come Off! <------< I'll do that part.

Also coming up will be a sell off of the way past need stereo stuff and a new carpet... We Very much plan to use this car to go places in Total Style and have to have the back seat for our little dogs AND space for a couple travel bags - So the awesome sounding stero will go away and it will be just front and rear speakers... With there own amps each though, it will still sound very good, just not going to Scare the hell out of granny next to me at a light...lmao!

Oh, yeah! You passed within 2 miles of me. Back in the early 2000's I was a blasting tech for WESCO. I went to Silver City a few times to do blasting (Rock breaking) for a mine up there. Beautiful area, up there, always wanted to bring the Jeep, but never got the chance. Nice jeeps! I've had a lot of jeeps over the years, including 3 Cherokees and 2 Grands (Zj and WJ) I would love to build another WJ. You live in an area with a lot of rocks! You're lucky! Rocks are my favorite, and BLM ruined my favorite one a few years back (The back road, from lake pleasant to crown king, AZ.) Used to be a loose rocks uphill trail that went past at least 3 old mine sites, (Including Blue bird mine). Had a really challenging "bread-loaf" (4-foot tall rock formation that was about 3-feet wide, and went all the way across the trail). I left so much paint and metal on that thing over the years.... There was a bypass road for that obstacle, but where's the fun in that? Anyway, they bulldozed the entire trail, taking it from a 3.0 to a 1.0 or so. They may as well have paved it. That trail had everything. (Trees, high altitude views, old mining history, camping spots, picnic spots, etc). Now you can take it in a minivan... Wow, I went on a bit of a tirade, didn't I? Nice looking IROC, too, of course! What brand/model are those amps? If you are going to sell them, I might take one or both off your hands. Going to need them for my Suburban Tow-pig/overlander project. Save those louvers. Some of the guys and gals on here love them, and might buy them off you. They aren't my thing, but they are hard to come by.
I'll DM you some pics of my heep, so we don't bore everybody else
DR.K.

Yes, Me!

Secondly, if you are able to carefully take those apart for easier shipping, I'll buy them off of you in 2 weeks. This weekend is the 9-bolt trip that I was supposed to make 2 weeks ago but, the muffler and tailpipe rusted off my truck not more than 10 miles into my trip. And then got a hole in the brake line the next day.

But, I want those louvers. I should have told the guy I bought my Z28 off of to keep them on. But I was being a cheap *** and wanted to save $200 on the selling price of the car.
