1988 IROC-Z repaint finally complete
For those not familiar with this car, I purchased it just under 3 years ago from this site. The ad where it was listed is here: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/cama...91k-miles.html
With a small fleet, it took some time to gather all the parts and save the money to finally get this car the much deserved paint work. I still need to clean it up as it is really dirty, but all the extra money spent for all new parts really made a difference I think. The car originally had a red and black stripe, but I never liked that combination as it just never "popped" for me, so I decided to change it to silver and black. I was on the fence on the Hawks 17" wheels but with having them on my 87, I really like the look of them so decided to take the plunge on those two
. I still have a few things to do to the interior (headliner and general cleanup) but overall the car came out really good I think. Thanks to everyone who helped with the measurements for the stripes (Dagwood and Randyhummel) and helped with locating the NOS parts to make the car what it turned out to be. I will post more in the coming weeks once I get a chance to get it out and cleaned up, but with my daughters graduation, it will probably be a few weeks before I really get to spend enough time to get it done right.

Looks great, I like the 17s. What tire did you go with?
