New hood/front end
So I bought new fenders, door, front bumper and hood. Although in the first picture you can't really see much damage, the underside of the bumper was shredded, the ground fx were ripped off and the fenders were really rusty.
I replaced it with parts from another car, and while its not perfect, I think its a whole lot better. I'm not quite done, but I figured I'd give you a before/after picture. What do you think?

Re: New hood/front end
The driver side fender was complete garbage, both were rusted from the base all the way up past the ground effects. I didn't even have to remove the screws and bolts from the bottom 6 inches of them.
HOWEVER:
I'm retrieving a parts car next weekend, and I don't need any of the sheet metal on the outside. I'm harvesting the floorpan, interior and suspension from it, maybe a few other things. I am willing to sell anything off that car that I don't use. If you can wait a week to see if the fender on that car is worth buying (I haven't seen it in person yet), I'd gladly sell it. PM me if interested.

Ok, I'll keep you in mind when i start stripping it down, and I'll let you know if its worth saving or not. One thing I do know is that anything off the parts car will at least need repainted unless you happen to be partial to rattle can lime green...

I talked to the owner of the parts car, and just my luck, the drivers side fender is the ONLY thing on the exterior that won't be worth trying to resell. Sorry mw66nova. If there's anything else you might need, just let me know and I'll try to pull it when I get the car.

Will do. I pick up the car next weekend, and I'll start taking it apart and I'll quote prices as quick as I can!

Not yet, I didn't bother taking any since the exterior was incomplete at the time of this post, and I'm still fighting with the ground fx down the side of the car. It is also an interesting sight at the moment, as the interior has been completly gutted and i'm repairing rusted sheet metal and cleaning it out from a mouse infestation. I'll take more pics soon

Re: New hood/front end
Yes, the car now has ground fx. The bumper ground effects had been sheered off, and it now has them again. However, I'm fighting the ground fx down the side of the car, as I broke an attatchment point right at the fender and don't want to replace the whole piece just because one bracket broke, so while I'm trying to figure that one out, I'm too embarrassed to post pictures of it hanging there, lol.

That is pretty nice looking, but I'm one broken mount from getting all my ground fx back. I'm also afraid to take off the rear ground fx from the bumper.. there may not be any metal, lol.

Re: New hood/front end
well if its a common problem, then i'm sure mine did it. I'm not sure if it sat in a barn for 3 years or a swimming pool. Arg.
