Added a Magnaflow catback and tinted windows to my 84 T/A this week
Hey everyone. I finished my Magnaflow catback install yesterday and just got my windows tinted today. I looove the sound of the Magnaflow setup. It's a nice deep rumble with no popping (I have an SLP shorty setup mated to it). I stopped by the shop that did the paintwork since it's right next door to the tint place and they snapped a few pictures to add to their website. Their site is autoimagecustoms.com and my bird is right on the front page Anyway, here are a few of the pictures. Let me know what you guys think. They're low resolution, but I'm hoping to get out and take some high res pictures soon.

your car is beautiful, you should be proud.
i've got a magnaflow waiting to go on my own setup, glad to hear more good things about the setup.

That is one of the nicest 3rd gens I've ever seen. The wheels look great. Looks good with the tint and tailpipes.

Re: Added a Magnaflow catback and tinted windows to my 84 T/A this week
Thank you very much! The magnaflow install was pretty straightforward. The toughest part was having to fab up an adapter for the hanger on the passenger side going over the axle. For some reason, the Magnaflow setup comes with a tab with a hole in it on that side (just like the drivers side tailpipe has) rather than a piece that fits into the stock rubber mount. Basically, you need to create a 90* bent piece of steel that you can bolt onto the exhaust tab and slide into the stock rubber mount. Other than that, it's a matter of tweaking until it's aligned the way you want it.

Looks awsome, beautiful color. What size are your tires, im debating if those rims would look good on my Formula. We need a video of your car with exhaust.....

Re: Added a Magnaflow catback and tinted windows to my 84 T/A this week
The tires are 275/40r17 in the back and 245/45r17 in the front. If I had it to do over, I'd do 275/40r17 all around. I'll see if I can get a sound clip/video up at some point in the next few weeks. And the spoiler is sold by wings west. It's a reproduction of the Firebird 500 spoiler. There are a few people on here that have it and I love it.
There are only a couple exterior things that I still want to do. I want to polish up the tail lights and replace the center section firebird emblem with a silver one, also repaint the "PONTIAC" lettering silver. I also need to get a better set of t-tops because mine are a bit beat up and I have to pick up a set of front wheel well liners.

Yup, that's a hood bird and it's painted on :-) It's probably my favorite part of the car because I tweaked the design myself with my own flame design
The law in NY is only 70% on side windows and you can go as dark as you want on the back window. I just couldn't see being happy with only 70% on the sides, it'd barely be noticable. Besides, I almost always drive with the windows down anyway! The front bumper inserts are painted a very glossy black. The shop did a hell of a job painting the inset TRANS AM lettering body color.

Slp 1 3/4?s Please make a detailed exhaust video, youtube would be great. Got rid of em for 2210s and mufflex y pipe but still have em in the basement just in case I run into ground clearance issues.

Wow That car is beautiful. I've always been a fan of silver Firebirds. Those wheels also look great on your car.
