Car: 1986 Z28 Camaro Gunmetal Gray with Engine: GM Crate ZZZ HO 350, Edelbrock head Transmission: Rebuilt 700r4 all TransGo and Beast Axle/Gears: 10 bolt with 3.73 gears | i believe i already asked this on another thread, but, did you buy that car in norfolk. 355/5 speed? I was looking at a car exactly like that in winter/spring and I almost bought it. My dad just could not justify driving down there for it. Richmond is not far from me at all. I live in the bethesda/rockville md area. you know where that is? |

Yeah, just another slow V6.
I've heard of Rockville, but I've never been up there or know exactly where it's at. |

Car: '92 RS Transmission: 700R4 | So, since there are a number of us central virginians, why not get together sometime? I'd hate to get humilated with my ride, but id thoroughly enjoy a gathering of some thirdgens. Just a thought.. I'm sure as most of you are already aware, imports dominate most of this area. Damn side-ways engine drivers. |

As queer as it sounds, quite a few of us seem to live by the Wal Mart on Rt10, if we could get more than 3 people to show their cars, we might be on to something. Kind of like how the older folks used to do the Bills BarBQ thing. haha

Upon first reading this post, I thought you had said Brock's BBQ... chills ran up my spine as I was a dishwasher for them for a good year. I guess if youre interested in some sort of gathering, contact me on aim (purg3d) or email purg3d at aim.com
How old is everyone?
Edit: The area code for most of central va is 804.. I'm guessing you're in the 757 code? Oh, the commonwealth. |

Anywho, anyone have any unique or fun ideas other than my vague suggestion of "meeting at the WalMart"? I wonder if it would be feasable to begin at say Richmond Dragway or something like that, VMP maybe, we all get times for our cars then caravan to a location that can hold us all and perhaps have a "show" or cookout or just git drunk. I'm not big on hanging out in the cold, so maybe a spring-thing may be cool? Dunno, I'm a Taurus and not very creative........
Eric/32 years old/acts like 22..haha

Car: '91 Camaro RS Engine: RS = Really Slow Transmission: 700R4 | I'm in Mechanicsville. Where did you see me at?
It's my first car and I'm poor so what do you expect lol. It's gonna take a while but I'll eventually get it fixed up. It would be painted by now but I need to save for a new motor. I give it about a month before it dies. Don't blame me for the red neck looks of it, blame the previous owner lol. |

Car: 89 GTA CONVERTIBLE Engine: 5.7 L98 Transmission: 700R4 | It might have been Mechanicsville but i'm thinking Broad St or Staples mill near 295. I was driving a lowered red V8 S10. Your cars not that bad, trust me I've owned and driven alot worse lol. I have stories about body parts falling off on 64 and that was one of the nicer ones . Isn't the red neck look a requirement in Mechanicsville so your ok lol. |

Car: '91 Camaro RS Engine: RS = Really Slow Transmission: 700R4 | I don't think I have ever drove over there in my car. I have a feeling the motor is gonna go any time so I try to stay around Mechanicsville so if I break down it won't cost so much to tow it home lol. The previous owner lived over that way so it might of been them you saw. I did see a lowered 'red 94-'97 S10 with chrome wheels in Mechanicsville the other day though...
I dunno, right now I just hate the look of my car. When I bought it I thought the wheels looked cool. Then with the bigger tires on the back it makes it look like it's fast because of the stance it gives the car. I know my car is slow as hell but I didn't think I'd get people trying to race me because of it. Some guy in a Caprice ex cop car was trying to get me to race him, of course I didn't. He said he was weary about messing with my car because it looked fast.... That was a kick in the balls because I doubt I could beat a stock Civic |

About 10 years ago my g/f "and I" owned an 89 TBI car. A friend of hers put a reman alternator on the car for her as a favor. Well......as I was coming back into town, on 64 by the way, I heard a hard THUMP under the hood. I happend to look out my rearview at that moment and noticed something(s) bouncing down the interstate behind me. I thought I had run over something until all my guages pegged. (This was back when I thought changing the battery made me Mr Goodwrench.) I pull off the highway onto that Staples mill exit and parked it. Turns out the pulley on the alt sheared off and took the belt with it. Needless to say, the friend was not involved in putting the NEW alt on.

Eric | LOL Thats why I rarely let other people work on my stuff. I had a string of $100.00 cars to drive back and forth to work this one was a 77 Chevy pickup one of the rusty ones. I was on 64 at the Staplesmill exit haha. One of the cab supports fell off, the cab droped an inch and I ran over it and poped a tire It's funny now I was kinda pissed then. The guy I sold it to still drives it and loves it so if you see a sh*t green chevy pickup look out for flying parts lol. |

Car: 1993 Ford Mustang Engine: 5.0L Transmission: T5 | I'm in Chesterfield as well. Right off Ironbridge in the Beach Rd. area. Most of the hanging out we do in parking lots around here is either late night off broad st. where lots of "talking" takes place or over in the Victorian Square shopping center on Hull St. A good place to keep an eye on what's going on around the area is over at DragVa.com in the central forum http://www.dragva.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15
