Chevy Hi Performace mag just had a ariticle on cheap upgrades that said you can run 16x9.5 wheels on them with low-pro tires.
It has a new 305 and a new Quadra-jet. The original engine had a blown head gasket. Got to work on the emmisions next.
I plan to do more with the engine but I had to get it on the road so I could sell my truck. (Wife says I only get one toy at a time.
There is a great performance place in MD. Its just up the street from Andrews Air Force Base called Speed Unlimited. (right off the belt way on the south side) I have a friend here who runs street mod dragsters and he told me about them. You can pick up a four-bolt main 350 making 300hp for around 1500. Which is only about 300 more than a stock re-man on from Autozone. They have everything to go with it down to show quality bolts. (Web site www.speedunlimted.com) My goal within the next 3-4 years is to drop a 350 make 300-400 ponies. But since the engine runs fine I am going to start with interior and work my way out. I am going to Brandywine Parts and ripping the seats out of a 97 Camraro that just got total last weekend.

Yeah, Anjacot-been to Speed Unlimited many times-in fact, pass by there basically every day. Would love to have a shopping spree there sometime. I recently picked up an 80 series flowmaster muffler from them and it sounds really good. And for under 100.00 no less. They carry such an awesome amount of stuff there you'll be like a kid in a candy store. Look for the 22 inch rims when you get in there and take a peek at the price--you'll be amazed. Talk to you soon.

Hello there everyone. I'm the guy with the weird silver/green Iroc in Virginia beach. Maybe you've seen it around. It's not fast so don't try to race me, you'd win for sure. I know one thing I've got alot of you beat in and that's milage. 250,000 miles on my car, and everything is original. At least it's pretty. I've met a couple third gen'ers around here, mostly @ the saturday car show down @ greater grinders on Independence blvd. in Va Bch. Maybe more of ya' in the area will turn out. I'll be there, car people are my kind of people. Later.....

Hello folks. I'm in Newport News. I have an 84 and 83 Z28. I recently acquired the 83 and its not yet roadable. The 84 has been setting up for a couple years and I am currently re-doing the brakes. It will be my summer driver. The 83 is slated to be the racer.

Glen burnie, Millersville (where i live), Pasadena area.
Yeah there some fast cars that hang out and cruise on Ritchie Highway. This past Saturday i raced a 2002 Ford Lightning and kept up with it but he was pulling on me, i had my friend in the car.
It was around 1am and there was a crowd of people hanging out on a croner cheering the people on with nice cars, wanting them to peel out and go fast.

I probably won't be out to Capitol for several weeks since I'll be going on a couple vacations between next week and the first week of July. After that it's too hot, so I'm gonna pull off my SLP runners to finish porting them out.

I know where AACC is also. Yeah Route 2 (Ritchie Highway) has alot of fast people on it. That's really the only road i go on year round. Even on the weekends I rome up and down it with my car cruising around. I usually see the ocasional thirdgen here and there but not really a bunch at a time or else i would stop buy and talk. I do see alot of imports that hang out together and some fourth gens hang out too. The places were every one is at on the weekends is around the Burger King parking lot (across from Marley Station Mall) and further down the road around the Crown Gas station thats near the Cemetary. And then the last real spot is around the Mc Donalds and Checkers close to the Best Buy and the MVA.

Shoot I was just down in ol' GB on sat. night around midnight, and it was almost a ghost town. I saw a couple of cars, but not like what I'm used too seeing. The biggest group I saw all night was some red/maroon 5.0 then right behind him was a blue thirdgen with some aftermarket wheels, then after him was some gawd awful white 5.0 all riced out.
Anyway....................

This past weekend there were alot of cars, they filled up the Mc Donalds and Checkers parking lots for a couple of hours in Glen Burnie, the busiest times are like from 9 to 11. On Richtie Highway there are always people racing, also i did not see many cops this weekend for some reason, it was very nice out. I had my t-tops off all weekend.

Hey guys... Checkin in from the DC area also!!!
Not a Third Gen owner (yet) but I do drive a GTP (I love Third Gens though...)
Hey MDFormula... No cops eh? Hmmm... I wish I could say the same for V street and Metro. Hell... Northern Parkway is hot as hell right now too!
Man... I havent been up to Ritchie Highway in a long time. I might have to ride up there this weekend. Myself and a couple of buddies (Including Z28z, Ageressive Racer, and Bones LB9) have been trying to get Gerwig Lane in Howard County going. Nice spot and the cops are pretty cool about it. Theres also Ridge Road near Arundel Mills, and Ritz Way in PG. Ritz is REALLY hot with cops... only b'cuz of those damned rice fools...
Cruise? Did I hear cruise? Im down for that, even though I'd have to ride with a Third Gen'r. I dont wanna get cussed out for being the only non-Third Gen'r out there...

I think a cruise to Glenn Burnie is in order. We need to toast some rice and beat up on a few stangs, so they learn to respect the 3rd gens.

Yeah i think this weekend would be a good time for hanging out, there are multiple places to hang out off of Ritchie Highway (Route 2) around the Glen Burnie area. This past Saturday i had some fun by myself, i raced this eclipse he had his girl in the car and we were at a light and he says "Are you going to" and before he said race the light changes green and we where off and his turbo started spooling and i start to get on the gas and then after i hit 60mph i look back and their he is 3 car lengths back, after i slow down to like 45 (the posted speed limit, lol); he starts to speed up and goes by me (typical rice boy), i wish we hit another light together i would of told his girl to get into a real car (1991 formula 350).

lol that's freakin great. I'm trying to enjoy my car as much as possible now because it's getting sold soon to make way for a C4. I already have a buyer lined up for the stang and now I'm sure the bird will go soon after I put the sign in the window especialy because of that thunderous exhaust.

Well as of a couple of days ago I'm right off of Rt. 1 and Guilford, so I'm definately in the area. I'll tell ya what, there definately isnt a shortage of rice out this way, thats for sure!

Windber, PA here. That is very close to Johnstown. Anyone that came up for Thunder in the Valley would know where abouts that is. (BTW - Thunder in the Valley is huge motorcylce event that happens every year in Johnstown.) This year about 50,000 people where there. Tell your Biker firends.
Anyway I want to attend a gathering, please inform me where and when.
Thanks!!!

Just decided to look around on this site and found this board. I'm in Damascus, I have my 90 Camaro off the road now but I'm looking forward to tooling with it real soon. I go to little car shows around the Montgomery and Fredrick area. Next year we need to get together at the Ocean City Cruise. It's the weekend before Memorial day. There were just too many Mustangs down there. Alot of nice old cars also.

OK guys...sounds like we have a lot of f-bodies in southern MD, tidewater, DC and even a few of us way out west here. How about planning a fall meeting somewhere in the middle, like say Charlottesville. Somebody mentioned a blueridge parkway cruise...good idea! Let's pick a spot and all try to scedule it and admire each other's rides and showoff a little to the public. It would be fun...anyone for it?
