What do you guys think? K3 - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

So I just bought this car and I'm curious as whether or not you think it was a good deal. It's a 92 rs with a brand new 305 and T-tops. About 170 miles on the body but less than 1000 on the engine. It shifts very strong and runs great. The body is nice but has a few dings here and there... no rust. Now for the bad:

It needs new tie rods in the front
The A/C doesn't work
The paint is a bit faded.

All in all I paid $1900 for the car. What do you guys think? Also, what are some easy things I can do right off the bat to make it faster?

Oh yeah... I don't have pics yet but will add them soon. Anyone from Kankakee on here?

Open element air cleaner, cat back, etc.........basically come to my shop in dixon.

Replace cat with straight pipe welded in. Install cat back system. Ditch AC with delete pully. Ditch smog pump with delete pully. Ditch A.I.R. tubes and plug with 1/4" pipe plugs. Change all the fluids and filters...I mean all of em. Clean up the battery terminals and all the engine grounds including the 2 on the back of the heads. Eliminate the black plactic junctions that look like fuse holders on the positive battery leads. Power wash entire engine bay after soaking with engine degreaser while the engine is hotttt and running. Change to a K&N air filter with an open element. Install new pcv valve. Set timeing back to factory Zero after replaceing wires and plugs gapped to .035 thousandts. Install new cap and rotor. Inflate tires to manufacture's spects. Maybe install headers and new y pipe too.

You will be busy till spring.

My AC doesnt work either. I'm debating taking it out to save a ton of weight or retrofit it but that will cost some big $ from what I've heard.

Sounds like you got a really good deal. I bought mine for 2800 from a dealership so then you have to add the tax and such so it was a little over 3100 I think. What you see in the pics in my vb garage is how I bought it... only bad things were small paint chips here and there, dent in driver side front fender, and the AC doesnt work.
