Hello all

Hey!I couldnt find an intro section...I am from NJ so I figured I would be safe here.I know it sucks when people post in the wrong section so I apologize in advance.I am looking to buy a Z28 with a 350, 5 speed man.Dont really care what it looks like. Can anyone point me in the right direction.I will check the classifieds but I am kinda picky. Thanks!

Re: Hello all

First off Ill say welcome to the boards.Secondly in case you didnt know there were no 3rd gens that came from the factory with a 350/5 speed setup. The only way your going to get one is to do a tranny swap or buy one that has already been done

Re: Hello all

Thanks for the welcome!
I did know that I would have to buy a car that someone had already done a swap on.That makes me uneasy cause I can never be sure of what I am buying.Which of course sucks.I do know that that is the setup I want.So what suggestions do ya'll have for me?

Re: Hello all

I would suggest that you check the "Cars for Sale" section on here. And also check your local craigslist. And any wheeler dealer type magazines.

Re: Hello all

Yeah, Im a bitch.I dont exactly do bodywork, I am a painter.
I have a few plans for the car but nothing to crazy, I wish I had more money to put into it.
For now I am hoping to get the SS style hood and the Hawks spoiler.
I just bought new weathersrips for the doors.
I am just going with all shiny black since she is already black.I am too lazy to do the jambs!Haha.
I may add the hockey stick stripe in hugger orange but I havent decided yet.
Definately need new wheels and tires.I love the look of the C6 wheels.I also like the 18" Irocs that Oasis has.Is it dumb to put Irocs on a Z28?
I would also like to dress up the engine, but then there is that mulah issue again.
THanks for the welcomes!I am sure I will be here buggin all of ya's for info!

Hmm, why does this Camaro look so familiar. Try to nab the numbers off of the block if you can, as I'm curious to see which 350 the former owner installed into it. BTW, welcome to TGO!

Do that, it'll be easier to help you down the line if you encounter a problem or two, or when your ready to upgrade some....

Meh, it sucked, to be honest. The weather was bad, and the car show was pretty much a no show. We usually start hitting the track (Atco & Englishtown) a lot more than we usually do when the season is coming to an end, so when your ready to break that thing in and stomp on a few Imports just give a shout....

Charged350, how long ago did you buy those snypers? I sold mine like 10 years ago to a guy from NJ that sent his wife up to VT where I was living at the time....just curious. Nice ride BTW.

Bsporty, good to see another girlie sporting the camaro...with hopes of mod's even! You've got a nice foundation to work with.

Re: Hello all

Well to you bsporty and the rest of that NJ crew you have some pretty nice rides. Stick with it, don't bit off more than you can chew so you don't loose interest. Took me 4+ years to get where I am now and I'm finding I'm not "quite" done yet. If the car is solid you've got a sweet base to start with. A new paint job will go far, meaning it'd probably satisfy a bit of that "urge" for awhile. Good luck!

I have some 91-92 GFX pieces around here.Only have both door/rocker pieces and the rear 1/4 pieces that mount behind the rear wheel.I dont have the chin spoiler or the rear bumper cover.Shame I was at a yard in upstate pa yesterday and there were a few 91-92 camaros that they had just put out. They all had nice gfx on them except for the chin spoilers of course

Re: Hello all

bsporty, the 2bolt main is a nice to have when you're below 15psi. PROOF is I have a club member up here that has been running his car for the last 2+ years with a D1SC and 2bolt stock bottom end 305 car. His dyno run from this last Wednesday, 382 RWHP and 411ft lb of torque. From a stock bottom end 305.

Re: Hello all

Those are some very impressive numbers!!!I am not really going to the track that often.I cant afford to break ****.I do want a bad azz street camaro. There are a lot of cool back roads out here where I have had my bike up to 145mph.I know its wrong but sometimes it just happens!
I cant even really afford a blower right now.Just kinda pist me off that dude thought my engine couldnt handle it.
