I'm more interested in the '69 T/A though, haha.
If it's an original, once restored, isn't it worth like, 100K?! |

You show up out of the blue on this forum wanting to sell a third gen car *next week*. Well, I suppose it is nice to tell folks here about the car but I haven't seen it. I don't know what you've done with it. I can't recommend it on that basis.
~shrug~
Anyway, if you sell it local tell the new owner to show up over here. We'd love to offer advice, praise, and all that stuff related to the car that you didn't take advantage of.
Cheers! |

Car: 91 Formula WS6 Engine: 305 TPI Transmission: five speed | Warning about this seller who has shown up on the local Firebird boards here in SAC with different stories about the cars they are selling: Capital City Firebirds: 1996 FIREBIRD FOR SALE SUPER CLEAN.!!.$5300
I'd bet $ this is the same guy, different story: Capital City Firebirds: i have a 1976 pontiac trans am for sale its beautiful
Another car, a third gen bird, was also posted bythis person on my club board, I had the webmaster delete that one.
The other club in town, Trans-am Club of America Golden State Chapter, had this person's ads on it also with various wierd reasons for selling the cars. Their website is down right now so I can't post a link to those.
Also the VIN does not check out as a Formula with this VIN decoder F Body Domain.com .:. V.I.N. Decoder
The fifth digit on this car should be "W" if it was a Formula, it is "S" indicating Firebird. The next digit indicates body type, 2 = 2 door coupe (hatchback) as this VIN indicates, NOT a 3 = 2 door convertible. To the best of my knowledge there were no 350 convertibles produced regardless.

And 350 convertibles are out there. | Nobody is disputing that. I'm just trying to figure out if we like having used car dealers on our forums. If they are honest people with decent third gen cars, I suppose I don't have any problem with that. |

| There were L98's in '89 convertibles and possibly other years.
Granted most are 305's, but there are some rare 350's out there.
Ask user "madmax", he has driven a few.
Here's one I was tempted to buy: Trans Am For Sale Quote: |
There were only 33 or 50 of these conversions completed for 1989 GTA's with the 350tpi engine
| You wouldn't find GM info. as they were sent to ASC and converted later for buyers.
There's a thread or 2 on here about a guy who has contacted ASC and has production numbers, etc. |

Car: 1992 Formula Engine: TPI 350 Transmission: 700R4 | Birdman, I am sure Cadillac can speak for himself, but I think you misunderstood his remark about taking advantage of your convert. I believe that he meant that you did not take advantage of this SITE as its owner, i.e. with only 35 posts you were not on here much to talk about, ask about, share stories of your car. He's suggesting that you tell the next owner about this site so they and the car can be a part of our online thirdgen universe.
Look forward to seeing the pics once you put it on the market. |

| @BULL, i see what your saying, sorry Cadaillac if took it the wronng way, i was just a pissed off about all that beware and suspicious talk...that lady Julie was trying to make it seem like i was some scammer or something, i replied back with the honest truth, yes i have sold 2 cars in the past 2 years and yes both times i posted for sale on alot of TA and firevird forums because I was selling a firebird..the first one of my birds i sold last year was a 96 V6 i had for 4 years...after that i decided to sell my Precious 84 15th Ann Trans AM with 47K OG miles because of money issues and the fact that my wife was pregnant and we were having a kid, i needed the MoNEY...theres nothing suspicious about me at all.....and then theres the NON believers posting that there is no such thing as a 350 convert!..hahaha..come on...
Bottom line is those few people posting bad things about me couldnt be more wrong....it was one thing after anohter, im just like most people on here, a F BIRD MANIAC!!!...ive owned probably 15 different Birds and TA's in my life and even a few camaro's. i even posted the info of the guy i sold my 84 ann to just to prove myself....it was a awesome TA i wish i still had it... |

Car: 91 Formula Engine: 355 Transmission: WC T-5 Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.23's | Birdman, Do you know how many people we get that just registered, have minimal posts, and all of a sudden have this rare car and are trying to scam the people on this board?
Not a shot at you but there have been tons. If you showed pics I'm sure you'de have more believers. To be honest it did sound like a scam and I'm sorry if it isn't. Good luck selling it though.
