Something like an update
thought I give a little update. I havent done as much as I would have like too. Work and family seems to consume most of my time these days. Things are starting to get back to normal. I was forced to get rid of the Iroc, the Formula is in storage along with some of my parts and tools. On an up side I have been acquiring parts needed and even managed to put some of them together. Hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks I have the Formula in the garage and getting the old motor out and the new motor in.

Good to see an update.
Did you sell all your IROC->4th gen conv parts? Forgot all that you had. I see Bully jumped on those rims, haha.

I still have most of the parts. The rearend, rear control arms, and panhard bar are the only things that was on the car.
Think I'll have to get another Camaro, I need a 4 wheel daily driver anyway
Iroc back when it was still on the road

Here's some lost treasure shots from a late 2004 parking lot GTG.
I believe that's Terrell next to my silver bullet.
Ah, the good 'ol days of late night cruising.

I did. I have been waiting for a set to come up... I already know how I am going to have them painted and such...
Lets see some current pictures of the Formy... I have heard much about both of them, but never got to see either one. What was your deciding factor of sticking with the formula? I know you have a poll setup for them.
Did the Iroc go to someone you know closely or family?

For those of us who weren't around when this thing was running, can we get a brief background on the car please? How, when did u acquire it, events leading up to the long "nap"... What ur new plan is... I'd like to follow your story a little better.
On a side note, what are u gonna do with the block that's coming out?

It took as long as it has because I started buying things for my bike. Formula was garaged across town, out of sight out of mind.
oh and the new plan.
I have
forged piston/rods/crank
paitriot performance vortec heads
comp xfi268 cam
edelbrock single plane EFI manifold + elbow
LSx 90mm TB
749 ECM + 2 bar MAP
Looks like the P600B is gonna be to small so I've been looking into turbo's
not sure what Im gonna do with the old LB9

Still going to do the '749 if you go turbo? Might want to go 3-bar if you have lofty boost goals, no?
I'd be down to help a weekend morning with the tear down.

Not ditching it yet, but from doing the math I may only get 10 psi max. Still going with the 749, 2 bar should be good up to 29 psi right? Think I have a 3.5 and 3.25 pulley but I'd have to look and see.

I was under the impression that a 2 bar reads 1 bar vacuum and 1 bar boost=14.7 PSI. If you wanted over that, a 3 bar is necessary, no?
If you were looking at MSD units that say 29psi, that's just a range, but I think they advertise up to 20 pounds of boost, not sure how that works or if model specific.

Too bad your pulleys aren't the same as mine I don't think. I'll want to upgrade to a 3.4 eventually. I'd love to be at 10psi on my stock block!
