Looks like crap for a Camaro. Not a bad concept car, but does not look like something I would like to call a camaro.

Credibility?

Had credibility from the first time we had real pictures with the car on the brick circle, which if u pay attention is where all concept/proposed production cars have been photgraphed by GM for years.(Its at HQ in Detroit environs)

Now they have to fess up and say they are building it and when.

I like the car, they could lose the vette back end and square the rear down some and a little lower back there and all would be good.

Could even be outshadowed by the new Charger, it would be a shame though. Chrysler hasnt broke a bit of new ground with that car lol. spitting image of a 70, than again , people will bu it just for that.

I think it looks good, most likely it will be changed a little when it comes out (I remeber when they had the concept alero totally different from production) hopefully by then I might be looking for a new performance car in a few years, looks like it will be on the list.

I like it also, i assume that interior will never make it to production, but as a whole, i like it.

Wheels are too big for my taste, but again i wonder if they will see production also.

We are trying to get a group together to go see this beast when it hits chicago, anyone up for it?

Transmission: TH700 R-4
Axle/Gears: 3.27
i'm up to see this camaro if comes to chicago...however i'm gonna start yelling where' the firebird version!
the concept looks okay for now..but that rear end's gotta go..
i like the boxy and sleek style from the front, and as for the sides from a distance I can't really make it out being a camaro other then the "simulated" rear body lines ...

We agree on the rear of the car Raul. I talked about that in the other post.

They fix that up, I think they have a real hit on their hands.

The better it sells the more good drivetrain pieces we can snag for our cars lol

Sorry, but I had to fix that.

GTO platform...UGH!!!!! Don't like that idea at all......They need to do something to make it unique and throwing a "camaro" body on a GTO (mondeo) chassis is not the cure!!! I would RATHER buy a challanger....but the design of the shell is alright though.....

Sharing a platfrom to build the car is more than likely the only way it will ever get built.

People need to give it a fair shake, go see it at the auto shows, wait for more info, etc etc.....

I guess some people are just satisfied with our technologically challenged third gens, trust me, i love mine just as much as the next guy, but something to compete with the mustang or challenger would be nice.

That guy in the video said 400 hp to the rear wheels....I think he got a little confused. LS2=400 flywheel right?

maybe I missed this, but it isn't an IRS is it? solid axel or don't bother GM. why can't they make a car that is a more angular version of the '69? that is basically what Ford did with the new rustang, and with the gfx and right wheels it works.
this thing won't sell in my opinion no matter how fast it is. all you have to do is look at the GTO. there was all this hype about how fast it would be and when it finally got here nobody bought it because it looks sooo blah. GM needs to actually learn from its mistakes cause they don't have the market share for these kinds of mistakes anymore. as far as my money is concerned, the only camaro I want is the one I own.

lol About the only thing I will give the rustangs is that they have managed to keep the engine accessible. Now if they could just make one beat a lil ole LS1 without a SC I might be impressed.

I would love IRS. Provided it is one that can take some abuse, I would assume the Camaro and GTO to be on the new mid size Zeta/whatever they are caling it this week(but its the same damn thing) platform. that means it will have the 05+ IRS setup and maybe improved even more with the LS2 being base eng in both and possibly more powerful variants forthcoming.

New Mustang is anything but a carbon copy fo the old. If u put two together, u can see it really quickly. Only good view the new on has is 3/4 then your like its butt ugly. do they have to shove the frt wheels within 3 inches of the bumper on everything? Besides, grab some seat time in a new Mustang. I will admit they feel good(driving wise) but seriously lack in real manly car cockpit type of mentality that I definitely enjoy in the previous iterations of Birdies or Cams.

Heres to hoping they build it right the first time and dont screw it up.
